
(CNN) – Though the Republican presidential candidates differ on whether they would support Ron Paul as their party's nominee, they agree it is a choice they will never have to make.

(CNN) - Michele Bachmann confirmed Thursday that another key member of her presidential campaign was no longer working for her.
"He quit," Bachmann said of former Political Director Wes Enos. Bachmann was speaking on CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer." The Ron Paul campaign put out a release noting that he was "recently terminated" by the Bachmann campaign.

(CNN) - I’m just back from a couple days in Iowa where I had a chance to sit down with Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum. I also spoke with Iowans who are planning on attending Tuesday night’s caucuses. Here are some impressions:
Romney is confident about his chances of winning in Iowa and then in New Hampshire. His campaign’s internal polling is looking good. He’s getting nice crowds on his Iowa bus tour. Things seem to be moving in the right direction for his campaign.

(CNN) - Bob Dole is calling Republican leaders in Iowa to make the case for GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, according to a longtime Dole ally in Washington and two Republican sources in Iowa who were among those contacted.
Dole, who placed first in the Iowa caucus in 1996 before going on to become the Republican nominee, is personally making the appeals to veteran activists who supported Dole's own campaign in the Hawkeye State.

Sioux City, Iowa (CNN) – On his first stop of the day at an empty coffee shop, Newt Gingrich asked one of the patrons if they had any advice for the Republican presidential candidate who appears to be losing his grip on voters here.

Des Moines, Iowa (CNN) - For the second time this week, a new TV commercial by Rick Perry paints some of the his rivals for the Republican presidential nomination as Washington insiders, while touting the Texas governor's anti-Washington credentials.
Perry's presidential campaign tells CNN that the new 30-second spot will start running Thursday statewide in Iowa, just five days ahead of the January 3 caucuses, which kick off the presidential primary and caucus calendar.

(CNN) - Rick Perry's campaign wasted no time going after Rick Santorum following the release of a new CNN/Time/ORC International poll that showed the former Pennsylvania senator surging into third place in Iowa.
In a new radio ad released by Perry's team Thursday, Santorum is portrayed as a free-spending Washington insider who voted for earmarks and wasteful spending during his time in Congress.
