Coralville, Iowa (CNN) - Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum said he doesn't see Ron Paul as his main opponent but nonetheless proceeded to jab at the Texas Congressman, suggesting he's too radical and unelectable.
"Oh no, not really," Santorum said when asked if he sees Paul as his chief competitor. "But I am concerned on the national security issue that voters here in Iowa understand the real consequence of putting someone up in a race against Barack Obama who would be in the Dennis Kucinich wing of the Democratic party."

"He's even too liberal for Democrats to vote for," Santorum added.
"That's not someone who's going to get a lot of bipartisan support and be able to rally the country together and be an effective competitor against Barack Obama. That's the mission here, who can defeat Barack Obama."

"...national security issue..." I see that Santorum has spent a little too much time out of cell phone range in the Iowa backwoods. Someone should tell him: that Obama authorized a successful mission to capture or kill Bin Laden, that Khadaffi is no longer in power in Libya, and that the Republican Party has realized that national security is going to be losing argument with American voters in 2012.
Santorum is just another establishment mouthpiece that everyone is sick of hearing. We don't buy the fear anymore buddy!!!

He thinks he is now top tier (I do not buy the CNN/Time Iowa poll for the same reasons different pollsters do not believe it), and already he is saying stupid things.

And that is all that matters; not solving our economic problems, not moving us forward in technology and manufacturing, not taking steps to make sure we are a populous of healthy, educated, employable people. No, it is all about defeating the tall, fit, erudite, handsome, charming, intelligent, accomplished man that makes them feel so inferior.

What does too liberal mean? Decriminalizing marijuana. Being an extreme pacifist.
Ron has some crazy ideas, but many of his ideas are common sense and ring true to 'reality'. Stop going to war unnecessarily. That's not a crazy idea. Our country committed multiple crimes going into Iraq needlessly. The U.S. and Israel have thousands of nukes. If Iran had a bomb and used it against Israel, they would be destroying the homeland of not just Jews, but Palestinians. What would be the rationale behind that? We're going to go to war over one nuclear warhead just because their President has a negative connotation with Israel? The Drug War, budget, etc. Ron has some good ideas here that get trivialized by the media. The media is bias against reality....
