Des Moines, Iowa (CNN) - Tom Bragg came from Dallas to sell bumper stickers and buttons. He makes only enough to pay for his gas.
"Did you want this bumper sticker," he joked with me. It said: "Hot chicks vote republican." I told him I don't have a car. He said maybe we could put it on the CNN Election bus.
He had a few others to offer:
"Does this ass make my butt look good" – (with Obama's picture). "Give me liberty, not debt." And "Buck Ofama."
He says he campaigns for "love and passion."
"I'm riding this horse all the way to Florida," he said of his button business. It frustrates him that the candidates aren't more detailed about their economic plan and he sees this as his way to get people talking.

This pretty well sums up today's GOP. If it can fit on a bumper sticker, it's a winner. Pretty sad political philosophy.
Again, the media picks the loopiest of the loopy to pass off as the Republican mainstream.
On youtube, I've found dozens of pro-Republican people at these events who are quite polite, articulate and well-educated. Where is CNN when those folks are out?
At occupy wall-street, they managed to find well educated, polite people to talk about their views of the capitalist system.
On youtube, I've found dozens of pro-occupy people who are bats**t crazy and are so out there, it makes this texan seem normal.
Again, where is CNN when those folks are out?
CNN is perpetuating an image, that they want to perpuate. That all Republicans are dumb inbred hicks, and that all liberals are smart intellectuals, when in reality, there are crazy nutty people on both sides, and CNN refuses to stay unbiased and fair.

Too bad you can't afford a car on what CNN pays you....

Put up a web site! You'll make a small fortune this year.
"It frustrates him that the candidates aren't more detailed about their economic plan and he sees this as his way to get people talking. "
The answer is quite simple: The GOBP simply has no viable economic plans. The GOBP is a neocon deathcult based on economic exploitation and serving the greedy elites above all others. The GOBP deathcult's "policies" are simply pledges to continue to serve their masters with tax cuts for the filthy rich and deregulation. Again, these are not viable economic plans, as they have already been proven false and failed. This is what the GOBP deathcult really means when it talks about "pledges." They are pledges of loyalty to continue serving the interests of those who have corrupted our government and economy.
The republican/teabaggers seem to attract the loonies, the crazies, and religious nuts. Anything out of thhe mainstream.

You expect far too much! And yet the liberals have come to accept it as "normal" and scream bloody murder should any other network/website (that shall go unnamed) present anything other than the standard liberal drivel, because that as we all know is crazy made up news.
One of those new "jobs" the GOP "created".... that they brag about.....guess as long as he makes gas money, he can be counted as a success story...
Come on, you didn't slam Ron Paul even once in this propaganda. CNN is slipping.

And they DO interview the lefty kooks as well. Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank come to mind....
Yes, some steller examples of GOP maturity right there! For a minute, I thought maybe Perry had found something useful to do.
It is well know that the republican party are nuts and cling to their guns and so far off the cusp religion. A bunch of right wing fruit cakes. LOL!
The GOPs economic plan is to destroy the entire country to get Obama out of office. It's back-firing. We KNOW who votes NO to every jobs bill and every proposal to help the middle/working-class.
We're not idjits like the numbskulls running in the GOP campaign.
Most republicans are not dumb inbred hicks, they're arrogant religious zealots.
Soledad past 4 years we missed you welcome to morning show again
And republicans say Obama is killing jobs........
Wanna bet that Tom's collecting social security?
This guy must be dumb if he dbumpoesn't have enough money for gas and is trying to sell bumper stickers. I have one solution for him. Obama 2012 !!!
Get Real - Wanna bet that Tom's collecting social security?

So? He can still work. And he paid into it so he can collect. Or do you expect him to reject the money so Obama and the Democrats can funnel it to their corrupt union bosses?
