(CNN) – Sen. John McCain of Arizona will throw his support behind Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney on Wednesday, a senior Republican source close to the senator said.
The 2008 Republican presidential nominee will travel to New Hampshire to make the endorsement.

McCain won the New Hampshire primary during his presidential bid, beating Romney, who quickly endorsed McCain after he dropped out of the race in early February following key losses on Super Tuesday.
News of the endorsement was first reported by BuzzFeed Politics.

This is totally political! McCain wants re-elected and being from a state that represents one of the largest Mormon populations in the country he is doubling his chances. This is defninitely no surprise. BTW when was the last time (outside of him running) that he didn't support a republican candidate?

After McCain unleashed Palin on us, and the toxicity she brought to bear, who cares what he thinks. How the good people of AZ can think he represents their interests is something I will never understand.

The reason republicans like McCain are endorsing Romney is because they are scared! They are scared of Ron Paul. They are scared that when hes elected they will all be outed as thieves. This goes for the GOP and the Dems. Ron Paul is anti status quo. Washington is afraid of someone like Paul, as they should be! RP 2012!
Oh really.....does not matter. One thing I notice about Mitt is that he is fake. He does not know what is really going on with the (middle class). Something about him that makes me feel that he is looking down at us (middle class). I just not feeling him...........There's something about him he does not have a soul.

So Mittens couldn't beat this nearly senile old war monger last time around. McCain couldn't beat the current president primarily because he stated that "the fundamentals of this economy are sound" and he decided that women in the country would vote for any woman no matter how stupid she was. So now, McCain is anointing the second place loser to take his place.

I just can't vote for Romney because of his previous stance on abortion and most of all he is not a Christian. He was a draft dodger during Vietnam war also.

I'm not sure if this helps Romney or not. McCain is not viewed as a conservative. This won't help Romney's image with the conservative wing. I'm now waiting on Rush Limbaugh to blast Romney like he did McCain last time.

Does he even remember who Romney is? McCain doesn’t know what religion Al Qaeda is and once counted Spain as one of our enemies. It is sad that anyone voted for this guy who is losing his memory and ashamedly hid his own adoptive daughter when running for president because she is a minority.
