FIRST ON CNN: Santorum to make large ad buy in South Carolina

(CNN) - Rick Santorum's campaign will officially purchase a major ad buy in South Carolina on Friday, CNN has learned.

John Brabender, a senior strategist with the campaign, told CNN the ad buy effectively means that each South Carolina viewer will see the ads about ten times per week.

The campaign would not characterize the content of the ads or specify the amount spent on the purchase.

The ads will begin airing Tuesday. There is currently a "light buy" for Santorum on cable television, but this ad buy is a different order of magnitude, equivalent to 1,000 gross rating points per week.

"This shows we are starting to get in significant funds and options we didn't have before," said Brabender.

He will crush Romnet here. That loser Nikki Haley's endorsement of McCain is not worth squat. She should be dealing with the second poorest economy in the US, rather that cozying up to Mittens. What are the recall rules in SC?

Well, thank goodness. Now I can sleep again knowing all is well in GOPerville and Ricky gets his air time. The nightmares over the worry of it all are just too horrid to discuss. The anxiety ridden tossing and turning ... awful, just awful.

Be careful, Rick. There are "black" people in S. Carolina. Keep you tongue untied.

  5. Where is Romney Mormon support?

CNN is failing the public. Where are all these top Mormon leaders support for Mitt Romney? Does Mitt Romney have fundrasier in the Mormon communities? How come we never see Mitt Romney and his family going to church? Where are Mitt Romny Mormon suragates to push his ideas? What is Mitt Romney hiding? Romney never talks about his family history, church service and his tenure as Govonor of Masschuttes.

BREAKING NEWS IN IOWA – OOPS!!! Iowa is claiming Santorum won... Count call in wrong from some districts... cheating here in Iowa? Only the Republican Party. One person who helped do the final count said Romney only received 2 votes and not 22. Another just called in and said only 52 people showed up but 58 votes turned in and those extra votes went to Romney.

Santorum has BIG MONEY now so I guess he will go BIG on ads. No more "door to door" campaigning because he can now afford to allow the TV to do his bid!!!

Will the governor's endorsement mean anything? Some how I don't think that it will. I'd like to see Santorum win South Carolina and watch the struggle between him and Romney with Gingrich and Paul throwing bombs at everyone. Let the mud fly!
