Christie takes on protesters chanting at Romney rally

Exeter, New Hampshire (CNN) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie fired back at protesters at a rally Sunday for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in New Hampshire.

The brash Republican governor - speaking on behalf of Romney, whom he has endorsed, ahead of Tuesday's first-in-the-nation primary - responded to chants from a group of attendees yelling "Mitt kills jobs, Christie kills jobs."

"Really? You know something may go down tonight, but it ain't gonna be jobs sweetheart," Christie said, before pointing to his record of job creation in the Garden State and predicting the economic growth possible in a future Romney administration.

Christie blamed President Barack Obama for encouraging the actions of such protesters, who continued to chant sporadically throughout the rally.

"You're disoriented by the ways of hope and change," the first-term New Jersey governor said, referencing the president's famous 2008 campaign mantra.

Christie has frequented the campaign trail in support of Romney, the former Massachusetts governor and GOP presidential frontrunner. On Sunday, he accused the president of running a re-election campaign based on cynicism and anger.

"It is the most cynical re-election strategy you could ever think of," Christie said. "The president is encouraging people to be angry at me, angry at Mitt, because we stand up for what America believes in."

Mitt, please shut him up...he is doing much more damage to your campaign than the attacks from your fellow hopefuls.

He has killed more jobs than I could count. He also squashed a new tunnel from NY to NJ which would have created thousands of jobs. He is full of it

And now we know Christie's weakness; he can't take criticism and it makes him blurt things he can't prove, like "Obama sent you!" This is why he didn't debate and why he won't run; his temper is too bad to be an administrator. You can't just shriek at people when you're trying to lead them.

I hope somebody knock down this jerk Christie. He is sucking up to another rouge Romney so that he will get #2 spot or curry favors with him. You go my dear 99ers. You should go to all these meetings where these idiots Romney and Christie are present and heckle them and finally they should give up speaking.

It really bothers me when I see that those commenting full time don't really seem to care as much for our Country as they do for pushing their agenda. I just read parts of this article in Money News. "The Unthinkable Is Poised to Happen, Economist Warns

In the Aftershock Survival Summit, Wiedemer reveals what the publisher didn’t want you to see. Citing the unthinkable, he provides disturbing evidence and financial charts forecasting 50% unemployment, a 90% stock market collapse, and 100% annual inflation. And House Speaker John Boehner affirms, “The effect of adding nearly a trillion dollars to our national debt..."

Our next president will probably take the blame for whatever happens. And we all know it will get worse before it gets better.
I don't know who I will vote for yet, but I do pray that we don't let petty anti-Mormon bigotry or liberal agenda pushing decide the fate of our Country.

It is hard to understand why some journalists are laughing and condoning Christie's remarks. He does sound like a mafia boss. Is that what the American political system has come to? He makes Chicago politics look like the Mickey Mouse Club. Christie has also told people to shut up and many other classless things. He is a cross between Soprano and Bush (remember "Bring em on" and "Wanted Dead or Alive". I agree with other bloggers who say that a Romney-Christie ticket would be dream come true for the Democrats. Gotta love this Republican reality show.

Any one that votes for a Republican must me rich or stupid they only care about a Government of corporate pay offs and little taxes for the rich and more taxes for the poor. The hard working people get less and less medical for more money and if you get laid off then you and your kids have none. But you guys in the house and senate get medical for life for selling us out to pharmaceutical industry or any big corporation .They should have the same medical has we do.

No Joe. The President has now sat over positive job creation at the sum of 3.1 million private jobs over the last 22 months, That means things are trending up. You can try and blame the President for the overall jobs number since he took office, but that's like trying to blame the new manager for the mess the previous manager left behind and firing him even though his department is showing a turnaround.

Christie is thinking far ahead of everybody. He acts like he is on Romney's side but when it comes right down to it he really can't find much good to say. With the Obama reelection in 2012 Christie will be able to position himself to run in 2016. At that time the wars will be over and no war with Iran, the Bush tax cuts gone, the dificit tiny compared to now, all spending adjusted, unemployment way down with the economy having another four years of solid improvement, the Tea Party just history, the Murdock media totally discredited, etc etc. Christie will look like a star starting Jan 20,2017.

Big mistake for Christie to take his jacket off...It's actually unfair, but the main thing this national audience will remember about the first time away him from a podium is how very large he looks. When combined with his demeanor...Let's just just say that it's a cruel world and he made few friends.

Christie is a misogynist, a bully and a buffoon. He belittles teachers, cops and firefighters and represents the 1%. A truly disgusting individual, only good thing I can say about him is he does not pander to evangleicals, but that's only becasue he is not trying to get the party nomination.

Christie is just looking for another job with the GOP or with Willard. He has no chance of winning the next election in NJ as he has alienated the Middle Class workers, City workers, Firemen, Police, Teachers and they will come out to vote against him. I am sure he will get a position on Fox as the new Blowhard....

As a New Jersey resident, I'm still looking for all of those jobs that Governor Meatball has promised. All he seems to be able to do is take personal plane rides to his son's baseball games and travel out of state at the NJ taxpayers expense. Way to go Governor Meatball!!

He had the opportunity to create 3000 jobs in NJ and TURNED IT DOWN. He hates people (but sure loves his food). He can smell Krispy Kreme from his house.

"Christie will look like a star starting Jan 20,2017."

You mean his massive gravitational pull will have attracted planetoids that circle around him, or that he will have imploded due to his huge size and burst into a flaming 'solar phoenix' reaction? I'm not sure he contains enough hydrogen for the latter.

I wish Christie would have run he is GREAT. He said Really? You know something may go down tonight, but it ain't gonna be jobs sweetheart," Priceless. Idiot Occupy Morons. He should have told them they don't want a job they are getting $900 a month food stamps, Welfare, tax refunds of $10k for having 50 kids they can't afford
    --------------

LOL! I wish Christie would have run too. It would have been fun to watch Obama whup Christie. Christie is a coward. That's what bullies are – cowards. Christie knew Obama would kick the crap out of him. Christie was too scared to run against Obama, so he just does what bullies do – stand on the sidelines talking smack but his fat behind can't back it up!

Aftershock Survival Summit = Murdoch/Newsmax mouthpiece propaganda nonsense. Read up on a real economist like Karl Smith from the University of North Carolina and what he and a growing number of economists are saying, AND BASING ON VERIFIABLE EVIDENCE, about "Recovery Winter" and the potential for the economy to actually experience a fairly rapid acceleration over the next few months. Indicators like apartment vacancies shrinking, rents going up, the aging of the average automobile on the road, etc. all indicate pent-up demand that will inevitably seek an outlet. The fearmongering demogoguery from Murdoch's outfit is designed solely to increase pessimism and scare people out of spending their money and thereby increasing demand...and it's not going to work.
