Washington (CNN) – President Barack Obama announced Monday that White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley is stepping down and will be replaced by Office of Management and Budget Director Jack Lew.
Two senior Obama aides told CNN that Daley will stay in his job through January, including the State of the Union address.

I guess the reports of not being able to work with Obama and/or his staff are true. It is no wonder Congress can't work with him either.

Great–the only guy in the entire Obama administration with a brain, and he decides to leave. Bill Daley made sure that Osama bin Laden was killed, despite the objections of Barack Obama. Daley made it such that Obama had no choice but to authorize it, as it was all but a "done deal" by the time Obama even knew of the plan, and Daley told Obama he had no choice but to go along, or risk looking like he was soft on terrorism. Daley probably got sick of all of the incompetence within the administration, and will certainly land on his feet somewhere in the financial industry.
Bad and uneducated mistake to begin with. He belongs in a hedge fund on Wall Street.
