Palin seeks increased Romney transparency

(CNN) - Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor who mused with a presidential bid of her own this cycle, suggested Wednesday that Mitt Romney should release records from his time at Bain Capital, as well as his personal tax returns.

Not doing so, she said, could lead to devastating consequences that would injure his candidacy in the weeks before November's general election.

"Don't be surprised that that's all coming out today, because it would come out as an October surprise had these GOP candidates not brought those out today," Palin said on the Fox News program "Hannity."

She continued, "Barack Obama and his machine and the billion dollars that he's got behind him will bring all of this stuff out anyway."

Candidates need to be prepared, Palin said.

"It's rough and tumble, not beanbag as Romney and others have called it. You've got to be prepared for this."

In the interview, Palin characterized Texas Gov. Rick Perry's attacks on Romney's tenure at Bain as questions about his job creation claims.

"This isn't about a politician making huge profits in the private sector," she said. I "think what Governor Perry is getting at is that Governor Romney claimed to have created 100,000 jobs at Bain and you know, people are wanting to know, is there proof of that claim?"

Republicans, she said, should vet candidates "within our own party."

But Palin's comments do not mean she is closer to choosing a candidate to support.

"I'm still with the majority," Palin said. "Searching."

Nice women is this Sarah Palin. Only if she did not choose politics for her profession. One should really know what one is suited for.

BEHOLD our next President. Palin is going to jump in the very last minute and take both the nomination and the White House. We need President Palin for only she has the ability to completely fix our country's problems.

Invaluable advice from a seasoned elder stateswoman. Her experience, success and impeccable reputation...all after raising a model American family...is something that our nation must always treasure. Once she becomes and is regarded as our greatest ever president, an image of her on Mount Rushmore will be the only fitting monument to the glory that she personifies.

My God, when Sarah Palin starts to sound cogent, I know I've been listening to these GOP candidates for too long.

And we should care about what Palin thinks...why? Her political expertise is limited to a failed VP run and a governor's job she couldn't handle and quit halfway through. Hardly inspiring qualifications. And her own 15 minutes are now officially up. Time for her to move on to has-been diva-hood and start doing Fiat commercials.

If anyone should know about vetting, it's The Tundra Queen. Had she been properly vetted don't think she would've ended up as VP candidate. Hopefully her stupidity would've come to light along with her lack of knowledge of issues, like Herman Cain. Hope she's enjoying her view of Russia from her window...that's exactly where she belongs.

AutoAmerican - You sound ridiculous. She isn't going to "jump" into the race. She knows she wouldn't have a chance. However, I would like to see some docs. released and find it interesting what another poster said - that none of the children have served.

I think we are seeing one of the main reasons that Palin would not run for president. She could not debate nor could she take the heat of other Republicans possibly attacking her. Sarah does well attacking from her FaceBook, Twitter, SarahPac and the protection of FoxNews. She could NOT handle what Mitt, Newt, or even Bachmann dealt with in the big show. And bad enough if it's the "evil left" that would do it but could you imagine an attack on Palin coming from the right? And if they left her alone then it would be biased. Palin is doing what she does best, being an attack dog from the sidelines.

I don't usually agree with anything that comes out of Sarah Palin mouth, but she might be on to something here, she
right about vet candidates, she should know because John McCain and his people did not vet her. Whoever get the
nomination should keep her away from them because they will give Obama four more years. People have not gotten over 2008.

Hooray for Sarah Palin! We love Sarah Palin! Only she can deliver this nation from evil. I want all the Evangelicals to grab their bibles and lets march for our lovely Sarah. We need her to be our president. So tonight, I say to all Evangelicals, go outside with your bibles, kneel down and pray that USA will become a nation of Christians.

I moved from Alaska this summer and most of the people there are incredibly embarrassed by her. Romney probably hasn't reached out to her; hence, she feels slighted. Maybe Romney should have taken the high road by earning his money on a self-serving reality show. I am so happy that Fox News cuts her off every time on the show. Roger Ailes has even figured out she is a BOZO.
