(CNN) - Christmas may be over, but a Jeb Bush presidential bid was apparently on the wish list for George and Laura Bush.
The former first lady told a Florida audience Wednesday that she and her husband, the former president, hoped her brother-in-law would decide to run for president this year, according to the Sarasota Herald Tribune.

"I wish he would," Laura Bush said when asked if Jeb, the former Florida governor, will run for president someday. "We wanted him to this time."
Despite public pleas, Bush declined to run for the Republican nomination in 2012. However, the son of former President George H.W. Bush did not rule out a run in the future.
While speaking as part of the Ringling College Library Association's annual town hall meeting series, Laura Bush pointed to his work on education as evidence he would make a "wonderful" president.

I don't care if people say that Jeb is the smart Bush – that's not exactly saying much.
The bush name should be toxic in America politics after the disaster GW left behind. But I wouldn't be surprised to see the tone-deaf republicans hoist him up – not surprising especially after they nominated willard romney – a modern day gordon gekko – as their candidate during the worst economic crisis in decades – in a country with outrageous income inequality.
Gurgi, howsabout you give us a few examples of the "things said about the Palin children by the leftists"? Anything said was the truth after all. After your claim that Greeks are selling their children due to their economic crisis your credibility is pretty much non existent.

Jeb helped his brother steal the election, so Jeb is a thief. I don't want a known thief as my President.
And I agree with Beverly on all counts especially the one about the Bush family being a criminal enterprise a la Mafia.
Laura should continue to take her happy pills that kept her looking like a zombie-like Stepford wife while her daughters ran wild and drunk around the country and stfu.

I would leave this country and give up my citizenship if another Bush were in the high office. George W was not elected by the people and yet the 99% paid thru their lives, homes and jobs..
