Johannesburg (CNN) - Daytime TV doyenne Oprah Winfrey said Friday she is "100%" behind President Obama as he campaigns for re-election this year - and that the man she backed four years ago for president is doing a great job.
Winfrey made the comments in a wide-ranging interview with CNN in South Africa, where she is marking the graduation of the first students to join the academy she set up five years ago.
FULL STORY

I'd take an Oprah endorsement over a Cristine O'Donnell endorsement any day of the week.
Myself I am not 100% behind him. I am 150%. I do not hold his race, but I have realised that the man had done more than I expected. Like it or hate it, the man deserves to be re-election!
And his biggest challenge if he does indeed win a second term?
"The same thing as the first four years, and that's getting jobs for people, and getting our economy back in order, and building a sense of confidence in the American people so that they know that their futures can be sustainable."

I do not expect Obama to take Oprah on the campaign trail with him. In fact, he may want to ask her not to talk about his accomplishments to the media.
What she says here is that he accomplished nothing in his first 4 years with respect to the biggest challenges. I'm going to have to agree with Oprah on this one.
Thank you, Oprah. President Obama is a steady hand who has achieved much in the face of very difficult circumstances and opposition that cares more about partisan politics than the good of the American people. On the other hand, we can elect a flip flopping chameleon and corporate raiding parasite who has no real values. He takes whatever position he thinks will serve him best at the moment.
Romney is wrongney for America. Obama 2012.
Go figure. They're both black.
Any one who has brain will 10000000000% behind Obama except four and door...
4 years ago I thought her endorsement was a mistake because I wrongly assumed she would use her show as a platform for promoting his candidacy. She handled her involvement totally void of any connection and I stood corrected.
I agree that he has done a good job. Can't say great because he did let Congress walk over his agenda, but I think he's learned and a second term will give us the man we expected.
Right on Oprah! It is so clear that The president's the problem solver, the GOP is the problem makers. Bush's economic policies almost got us into a depression. Obama had a mess to clean up and has done as good a job anyone else could do. Four more years!
Let's see a report on the data comparing income growth for different income levels from 1947-1979 with the income growth for those same income levels from 1979-present. C'mon CNN....no sweeping it under the rug that the first time period saw almost equal income growth across the board while the latter time period saw the entire thing blow up and the beginnings of massive, accelerating income disparity. Hmmm....now what was the brilliant new economic ideology we started implementing in 1980...hmmm........
Who wouldn't want the GodMothers blessing ?

Subliminal suggestions, anyone?
She says she is confident Obama will be re-elected, adding, "I think he is a masterful leader."
===================================================================
Shouldn't she have said "I think he is a masterful leader from behind."???
Honestly Oprah, you've lost ALL credibility with this statement.
I am with him 200%. Regardless of color!

Are you saying that all of the accusations about Obama destroying this, that, and every other thing are simply not true? Interesting.
Look at the color of her skin! Are you surprised???
Too bad. I like you Oprah, but I am 100% totally opposed to Obama, in every way possible.
Oprah is intelligent, hardworking, sincere, and very successful – so of course she will join the majority of Americans who will vote AGAIN for President Obama.
And they wonder why oprahs tv channel is a massive failure?
Unemployment among blacks in America are at all time HIGHS. Even Maxine Waters and the Congressional Black Caucas have been grumbling about Obama's performance. But one of the biggest one percenters in the country, Oprah, thinks Obama is doing great??? Logic dictates more is in play here than can be seen. Hmmm... what could that be??? Could it be r..??? Nah....
BTW, I wonder how many hundreds of millions Oprah has donated to the government in the form of extra taxes to help the government provide jobs to the black community?
And so am I. Good Luck President Obama !
Of course she is, they are both racists.

She bypasses the government. She gives directly back to poor communities here in the US, and around the world. Can Romney, Huntsman, or any high profile Republican make the same claim? Can the Koch brothers? They give more to political campaigns than the do to help the poor and needy.
Another angry black woman!!!
Oprah is a pure bred racist, because no one in their right mind would be behind someone who is a known liar and traitor. Obama promised to end the wars overseas first thing when elected and not only did he not do that, he signed the NDAA that puts all American's as suspect for being patriotic and questioning the government. Oprah is a racist. She could only be supporting Obama because he's black. He has no other assets for her to support.
And the right wingnut bigots continue to reaffirm their hatred of anyone who is not white.
