Gingrich's elite crusade

Columbia, South Carolina (CNN) – South Carolina primary winner Newt Gingrich told a victory party chanting, "USA, USA," Saturday night that they had captured the heart of his campaign.

"The fact is we want to run not a Republican campaign - we want to run an American campaign," he said.

He swept the Palmetto State by wooing many voters with strong debate performances, but the former House speaker told the 500-strong crowd that people are missing the reason behind his momentum.

"People actually misunderstand what's going on. It's not that I am a good debater. It is that I know how to articulate the deepest-felt values of the American people," he said.

He described what he thought led to standing ovations during the Myrtle Beach and Charleston debates this week.

"So many people who are so concerned about jobs, about medical costs, about the everyday parts of life and who feel that the elites in Washington and New York have no understanding, no care, no concern, no reliability, and in fact do not represent them at all.

"The American people feel that they have elites who have been trying for half a century to force us to quit being American and become some kind of other system," he said.

Gingrich announced a new campaign slogan as he prepares to compete in Florida against former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

"We believe as our new sign - which just got made today points out - that if we unleash the American people, we can rebuild the America that we love," he said.

Get ready for the take-down of Newt by Mitt. Use the ethics and morality cards. I really want Newt to live the rest of his life wishing, begging and pleading to debate President Obama but never accomplishing that goal. It seems to be the only
    thing he wants to do.

Poor Mitt. It's going down the drain for Romney. Money can't buy happiness. If Mitt can't beat "the pompous windbag" or "Saint Santorum," I say he's headed for a large disappointment.

"The fact is we want to run not a Republican campaign – we want to run an American campaign,"

Because what's more American than cheating on three different wives while running up a half-a-million-dollar tab at Tiffany's?

Because what's more American than being the (disgraced) former Speaker of the House and having appeared on 'Meet the Press' 36 times so far, then having the cojones to say that you're 'not a Washington insider'?

Newt is morally repulsive, and does NOT represent good, honest Americans in any way, shape or form.

"The fact is we want to run not a Republican campaign – we want to run an American campaign."

Good move, Newt. A Republican campaign would include a staunch "family values" message.

Great victory tonight in South Carolina if you are a democrat. Time to throw out your slogan South Carolina: "We pick Presidents." Gingrich has zero chance of winning the presidency. His victory is nothing more than an evangelical dislike of LDS church member Mitt Romney and nothing more. South Carolina is not reflective of the general American electorate. If we Republicans are dumb enough to make him the party's nominee, we might as well kiss the election "good-bye." Obama has got to be licking his chops at a potential election fight against NEWT, A MAN WHO HAS MORE BAGGAGE THAN A SAUDIA ARABIAN KING CHECKING INTO A HOTEL. I'm sure the DNC is prepping the ads now showing Newt lead the fight of impeachment against a President for sexual misconduct while he himself was on yet another affair and speaking about "family values." Then they'll be another ad about how he led the fight to investigate the Clinton's on "Whitewater" to the tune of millions of dollars of tax payer money only now to lash out at the press when they have the tamerity to question his moral and ethics. Newt is morally bankrupt, ethically challenged, angry and a proven bad leader. In other words, he's the quintessential "Washington insider." Romney is the only potential chance we have in winning the election and turning this country around. Romney will win Florida by 8-9% period.

All I can say is, it's fun to watch the GOP tear itself apart, revealing its "contenders" for the petty scumballs they all are. (OK, Ron Paul seems consistent – but he's bonkers!)

But Dems, don't get complacent. We need to get out and vote in record numbers come November 2012 and re-elect President Obama and Democratic majorities in the House and Senate!

If Gingrich is going to criticise the 'elites ' he had bet run ads against himself . He is well and truly part of the ELITE. Just like G W Bush ran as outsider for the presidency, he grandfather a longterm senator, father VP and he was a Texas Gov , all insider credentials.
Whats the evidence for Newt as part of the Elite
    -LIved in France
-University degre in History , and modern European histoy , dissertation on the Belgian Education Policy in the Congo, not exatly job ready qualifation to build the econoy
    -University Professor
-Member of Congress for around 20 years, including being Speaker of the House
-EHigh priced consultant to the business world , not a lobbyist that a bad word , just plays semantics
-Author of American History books with factual errors doesnt correct them , blames others for not being open to new interpretations of facts .

GOP circus never ends. Their minds are changing quickly more than that of the chameleon. It is very hard to believe it!

Hard to believe that the American people, could have such short memories. Also, it's hard to believe that the American people, could be so hypocritical. But the really hard thing to believe, is the ability for the American people, to be so easily led down the path by candidate that are the next thing to convicts. Never underestimate the stupidity of your fellow man.

Good luck with such a hypocritical approach, seeing as how Flipper the Elitist Robot has no decent ethics or morality himself.

"It's not that I am a good debater. It is that I know how to articulate the deepest-felt values of the American people," Gingrich said. I agree, he expresses the loathing that many Americans have towards African Americans and especially our President Obama. He blatantly attacks our free press and wants to fire judges who he doesn't agree with. He is able to say what many bigots in our country are afraid to say out loud, and he does it proudly. Gingrich represents all that is wrong with our great nation, the deep seeded hatred many Americans have towards minorities.

"The American people feel that they have elites who have been trying for half a century to force us to quit being American and become some kind of other system," he said. This statement made me laugh; he has been part of this Washington elite establishment for a half a century, and, unfortunately, there are voters dumb enough and blinded by their hatred of our first bi-racial President, to believe the crap Gingrich spews. The good news is, this will shine a bright light on how far we still need to come as far as racism is concerned, and if Gingrich is the reps choice, it will ensure an Obama landslide.
