(CNN) - After Saturday's South Carolina primary shook up the Republican presidential race, the four major candidates matched up on Monday in the first of two debates in Florida, which votes next on January 31.

I learned that Newt Gingrich is making extremely misleading statements when he claims that he "led the Congress to four years of balanced budgets while he was House Speaker." First of all, we only had three years of balanced budgets. Second of all, Newt Gingrich was served as House Speaker for the first of those *three* years, not *four* years as he repeatedly claims.
