(CNN) – The feud between two former House speakers continued Wednesday, with Newt Gingrich pushing back against Nancy Pelosi's claims that Gingrich "will never" win the White House.
"She lives in a San Francisco environment of very strange fantasies and very strange understandings of reality," Gingrich said on NBC's "Today." "I have no idea what's in Nancy Pelosi's head."

The House minority leader strongly insisted Tuesday night on CNN's "John King, USA" that Gingrich could never become president, saying he's done "plenty of dumb things."
"There's something I know, the Republicans, if they chose to nominate him, that's their prerogative. I don't even think that's going to happen," Pelosi warned.
Her comments set off a firestorm of speculation over whether Pelosi was implying she knew something about the candidate that could potentially damage his candidacy. The inflection in her voice, however, indicated she felt strongly that Gingrich was not qualified for the Oval Office.
Asked Wednesday morning about the interview, Gingrich said if Pelosi was hiding something she should name it.
"I have a simple challenge: Spit it out," Gingrich said.
Pelosi confirmed Wednesday that Pelosi was simply suggesting she believed Gingrich to be unelectable.
“Any reference I would make to the Ethics Committee is confined to the public record," Pelosi said in a statement.
Pelosi made headlines in December when she said in an interview that she had information on Gingrich that would be released "when the time's right."
Her office later clarified her remarks, saying Pelosi was referring to the public record on Gingrich's 1997 ethics violation in the House, the records of which are online.
The House minority leader's name is frequently used as an attack line against Gingrich on the campaign trail, with rivals blasting the former speaker for pairing up with Pelosi in a 2008 commercial urging the country to "take action" on climate change.
Gingrich has repeatedly described the commercial as "the dumbest" move he's made in recent years.

gingrich lives in a land of strange fantasies eh hemmmm 3 wives lol
Don't let America be Newtralized.
Pelosi would love nothing better to be the one putting the last nail in Newts coffin. She's waiting for the right time to pounce on this arrogent anal retentive, and send him home with his tail between his legs. I'm waiting with great pleasure to see the slaughter of this Repub hypocrite...
Nancy does live in the land of the fruits, nuts, and flakes. She is one of them and represents them well. Sadly she is clueless regarding mainstream America.
"I have no idea what's in Nancy Pelosi's head."
Neither does anyone else, even Nancy Pelosi
Blake, you said a mouthfull – well put.
As a Republican, before I vote I want to know what N. pelosi knows and I think the entire ethics investigation and report, not the whitewashed version, should be released. Gringrich has stated we should know everything about our nominee before the face-off with Obama. Mr. Gringrich should step-up and tell the truth about his ethics issues. Wolf, in the debate on Thurs please do not let him stonewall or laugh off the issue. It is very important that we as voters know what he is before the election. Romney and the news media please stand-up to Newt, he will take the republican party down.
Thank you
In Newt's reality, his theology triumphs over reality. He has compared himself to Churchill and de Gaulle, so if anyone has any questions about Newt's grasp on reality, read his remarks on that. He plays the victim card, but never assumes responsibility for his own mistakes, other than making an ad with Pelosi. He would say he was greater than Jesus if he felt it would get him one more vote.
Nancy knows a lot. I can't wait until she spills and we can watch Newt squirm and lie to try and worm his way out of it. Of course, it will be the media's fault whatever it is or it will have been "taken out of context" (the Republican's favorite defensive line), but you can bet that there will be truth there. I'm willing to wait until she's ready to unleash, because it's gonna be great watching him go down. Stay tuned!
That Newt is a delusional hoot.
Pelosi was the one who said "Let's pass this Bill, so we can see what's in it." I don't think she has any credibility left. Newt's surging because he's tapping into the anger at Obama's dismal failure of a Presidency!
That's funny, given all the wierd nonsense put forward by the GOP/TP the last few years(Birtherism; Obama is Muslin, socialist, etc.; ending Social Security, Medicare, Civil Rights Act, Voting Rights Act; getting rid of the EPA, Dept. of Education, Labor and NLRB; the simply bizarre cut taxes and spending; more foreign wars; and on and on), I'd say that the GOP/TP commutes daily from Fantasyland to visit with us here in the real world.
I'm Newt Gingrich and I'm 100% full of it.
say what you want about Pelosi, but Me thinks that the ethics report she is holding on Newt is VERY damaging.
Naughty Newt!! You live in a land of strange fantasies. You know having an open marriage. You might as well convert to a different religion, you know one of those that allows you to have as many wives as you want. Talk to Mitt, he can probably help you out there.
Good to see the right wingnuts are still trying to build that shining city on the hill for the 1% who make up the tax evaders, corporate raiders, and vulture capitalists, while the 99% have to live in the valley that they have polluted.
Based on their daily rants, it is clear that right wingnuts are afraid of intelligent people.
Pelosi is correct, of course. Newt is a worm. No match for Nancy.
I wish Newt was the GOPTP nominee, though. To watch the POTUS rip him to shreds in debates would be real entertainment. I believe it would greatly increase the chances of bring back a fully Democratic congress in the process, which we need now more than ever. Time to kick the tea party to the curb...
Wow are the dems running scared!!!!! You can always tell by how vindictive they are. Too bad the American people have been able to see the results of the democrats in action over the last three years and we are terrified of another four years of obama. Note what he left out of his state address last night and you will see the terror in his eyes!
Newt is just playing on people's emotions – he hopes to win the White House via the same strategy that Obama used during his run four years ago. Newt if all you have is to play on people's emotions you are an empty suit with no substance – exactly what we got in the White House right now. Time to choose someone who can fix our country, time to send Mitt Romney to the White House to turn our economy around and make our country the beacon on the shining hill again.
wire palladin- Wow from SF and you support Nancy and the left coast wing nuts??? Surprise surprise.. Oh did you notice California is a failed state under the left's leadership???
Newt better leave Pelosi along because she going bring up all the dirt he did as speaker.
Bye Bye GOP. THe GOP was once a great Party. It allowed itself to be overun by people like Newt, the extreme religious right and bigots AND faux news.
To all of you who think pelosi is going to "tell all" no she won't, because then somone might decide to "tell all" about her.
RLA - do some research. Since the Democrats put a decent Gov. in there they are crawling out from under the awful rule of another movie star. It's slow. It didn't happen fast, and it can't be recovered fast.
