Mitt Romney: The man on the wedding cake?

(CNN) - Less than 10 months from the general election, Barack Obama appears to be laying the groundwork for a reprise of Harry Truman's populist 1948 campaign.

Running for a second term with a soft economy, the president's ready to tie the Republican nominee to what he characterizes as an extreme, do-nothing Congress serving the interests of the wealthy elite at the expense of the broad middle class.

Mittens income puts him close to the middle of the wealthiest 400 people in America. That is the middle class he is trying to protect.

Yeah, why would the country want to elect an honest, moral, successful, proven leader when we could have four more years of Obama FAILURE? Crazy talk!

Why would we want to elect somebody that knows how the economy works and could get it moving once again when we could have four more years of Obama socialist rhetoric and class warfare? Stop that crazy talk!

Why would we want to risk stopping the country from going headlong into the financial abyss with $20 TRILLLION in debt when we could just re-elect Obama and put the spending pedal to the metal?! PLEASE PLEASE, enough common sense!! Debt is GOOD! Just ask Greece!!

He's the 21st-century Man in the Gray Flannel Suit, a corporate machine methodically working his way up the ladder while less disciplined rivals fall by the wayside
    ------------------------
Working? Working where? This man is a trust fund baby. He runs for the presidency due to an overabundance of free time, personal wealth, and wealthy friends with nothing better to do than place $10,000 bets that they can buy the White House for Herman Munster.
    GTFOOH!

It's odd how shallow some people can be when they consider who is running for public office. Here's my point. We are not picking a TV talk show host. We are not picking a leading man for the next adventure movie. What we are picking is someone who will have to manage the federal government in a country with the largest economy in the world and a matching presence in world affairs. This is not a choice to be shallow about.

The fact is, Mitt Romney is the most qualified candidate running, including the guy that has the job now. Mitt Romney has the experience, the record of success, the intelligence and fortunately the ambition to take on this difficult responsibility. He certainly has several lifetime's worth of successful endeavors behind him so it's interesting that he is up for going through everything that leads to Pennsylvania Avenue. And Americans are fortunate that he is.

Honest? He's got two-faces, sometimes three. All depends on what he thinks you want to hear.
Moral? Didn't know that lying about your non-accomplishments (job creation), and lying about the one thing you did accomplish (health care)gave you a moral leg up on your equally lying fellow GOPer, but okay.
Proven leader? You mean because he was elected Governor of a state that ranked number, what, 47th during his tenure? Sarah Palin was also elected governor, she's a proven liability but not a proven leader.
Successful? Hard not to be when you are a trust fund baby with an overabundance of readily available capital. And to be fair he was a very successful vulture capitalist even if it was at the expense of all the middle class folks that he f'd out of a job.
YOU HAVE NOTHING BUT YOUR LIES TO KEEP YOU WARM AT NIGHT.
You're going to freeze to death come November though.
America is done with you and your ilk.
    Obama 2012.

Mitt Romney hasn't proven anything except for the fact that he is very wealthy. People want to know how he came with his figure of 100,000 jobs created while he was AT Bain. So far, he has ignored the question and has rolled back his lofty figure to "tens of thousands" and now he says "thousands of jobs." The only thing Romney has proven is that he is stretching the truth. It was not in the mission statement at Bain to create jobs, it was to create profit for investors. Jobs detract from profit.

What's up with all this name calling? Mittens? Just another form of uneducated people speaking their opinions. It's like being in a classroom full of 1st graders. Romney is the best chance this country has against Obama. Gingrich, even if nominated for GOP, which I pray he isn't would never stand a chance against Barrack. Gingrich is very unethical, has no moral values (cheating on at least two of his former spouses), and did a substandard job as Speaker. Why on earth would anyone want to elect this kind of person into office?

Hey Obama – you're not running against congress. You're going to be running against whoever the Republican nominee is. And you're going to have to run on your record, dismal as it is.

Typical Obama. Blame someone else. Pathetic.

Bain takes failing companies, invests in them, fixes their business plans, their operating methods and their balance sheets and makes them profitable. 100% of the time a company in business supports more jobs than a company not in business anymore.
