(CNN) – Democratic Gov. Bev Perdue of North Carolina will not seek re-election, a Democratic source told CNN.
The first-term governor was elected in 2008 with a three-point advantage over her Republican opponent and was expected to face a tough battle for re-election.
It's hard out there... even for them. And, with a "DO NOTHING HOUSE" for another year it is only going to get worse.
no surprise here .. her approval was 20%
I saw this coming a mile away. She just didn't wear well against the opposition. I can just hear the giddiness coming from the republicans in my homestate.
you can run but you cant hide obama and the demistooges time is almost up
She didn't want to face a re-election bid. She was quoted as saying she would like to have elections 'suspended' in 2012 in light of the financial situation the country was in.
A 'trial baloon' for things to come in the next decade.
She knows the election will be very different in North Carolina this type. Obama at the top of the ticket is going to be a drag on all Democrat candidates in North Carolina this time.
Another Democrat bites the dust! Obama's Economy not playing well in NC!
Good riddance!! Any politician who talks about suspending elections deserves the boot.
The Democrat extinction continues....
Because she doesn't have a chance in hell of winning so she will run away just like all the veto's she did while in office.
She is like Obama all mouth no action doesn't have a clue of what's going on in the state or anywhere as far as that goes.
I say goodbye we might get a person that will be good for the state and not give everything we have to bring a new business to the State.
I guess she knows riding Obama's coat tails will not work for her this year that was the only way Bev was elected last time.
