Sarasota, Florida (CNN) - At a rally in an airplane hangar here Sunday morning, several campaign surrogates spoke on behalf of Rick Santorum while the GOP candidate stayed home in Pennsylvania to care for his youngest daughter, 3-year-old Isabella, who was admitted to a hospital Saturday night.

A campaign aide confirmed prior to the event that Bella, as her family calls her, returned to the hospital on Saturday because she had contracted pneumonia in both of her lungs, but as she was not placed on a ventilator the family is hopeful she'll make a speedy recovery.

Gingrich questions Romney's honesty

Washington (CNN) - Front-runners Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich traded accusations of dishonesty Sunday as the increasingly vitriolic Republican presidential campaign headed for its biggest primary to date.

With two days to go before Florida voters decide who gets the state's winner-take-all 50 delegates, Romney held a widening lead over Gingrich in the competition to become the first of the four remaining candidates to win two contests in this year's nominating process.

Gingrich looks for anti-Romney convention vote

Lutz, Florida (CNN) – Seeking to shore up conservative support in what he promised would be a long nomination fight, Newt Gingrich on Sunday sought to cast Republican presidential opponent Mitt Romney as a liberal.

"I just think it will be very, very clear, increasingly clear over the next few weeks that this party is not going to nominate somebody who is a pro-abortion, pro-gun control, pro-tax increase liberal. It's not going to happen," Gingrich said Sunday in reference to what he called past stances Romney has held.

Romney to Gingrich: 'Look in the mirror'

Naples, Florida (CNN) - Keeping up his attacks on Newt Gingrich, a fiery Mitt Romney suggested Sunday that the former House speaker "look in the mirror" to understand why his campaign seemed to be faltering in Florida.
