BREAKING: Romney wins Florida primary, CNN projects

(CNN) - Mitt Romney will win the Florida primary, CNN projected Tuesday in a result that will cement the front-running status of the former Massachusetts governor for the Republican presidential nomination.

With more than one third of the vote counted, Romney had about 47% of the tally, according to the Florida Department of State Division of Elections. Gingrich had garnered nearly 32%. Former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania was in third, followed by U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas.

The newt vows to fight on!

He is mad as hell and he isn't going to take it anymore.

He has a score to settle with Romney and he will do it even if it means taking the whole GOP down with him.

heheheh, oops, sorry, I am once again wearing my somber and concerned face.

    Trust me.

Can't seem to see this Romney in the Whitehouse. He typifies everything that is immoral about life. Couldn't even watch him on TV. As much as we have all sin and fallen short of God's glory, as my bible puts it, Mitt Romney 's dishonesty is beyond the devil's, and for him to take this to a place like Whithouse, as well as represent America, is troubling and portrays us in such negative, ugly light. I thought great qualities matter in leadership. We might be better off electing a mafia soldier. At least, we already know what to expect.

I don't understand how a Christian could vote for Romney. The people have said no to him before. What are we going to do, just settle for him?

Alan St Louis, Romey a Soicalist??? You mean Obama, do you not, after all his views are very soiclist, he wants the goverment to run everything, just like Stalin had the Goverment control everything. Not to mention Obama is a closet Muslin. His goal is to destroy this country. You better wake up and smell the roses.

Romey a socialist? You mean OBama the Socialist, Romey is a moderate. You need to learn the difference before you post. Obama believes the Goverment should take care of the people, and the people should follow like little mice. That is the way Russia use to be, the Goverment took control of everything. Same as Obama is trying to do here. Not to mention taking kick backs from the Drug Cartels for giving them free weapons.

It really does not matter whether Romney wins or not he has dos not have what it taks to be a president. He accuses our president and talks garbage about him every time he gets a chance. We will see when the time comes when the two face in a debate and the American people will see who is the clear winner.

Romney just proved he will be a big spender like the Obama's and his administration. Newt Gingrich will stop the ridiculous government spending, and his campaign trail is proof. Newt isn't trying to buy votes like Romney and Obama are doing. Newt, Santorum and Paul should be the only one's to consider on the U.S. Presidential ballots for 2012. Obama isn't eligible to run for president this time around, and neither is Romney. I don't believe a word that comes out of Obama or Obamney's (Romney's) mouth. They are professional deceivers and will say anything to get your vote. Sad, sad, sad. Wake up people. Anybody but Obama or Tombstone. They're just two peas in a pod. We want America back, not leftovers and handouts.

Assigning weight to the percentage of the Hispanic vote attained by Mr. Romney, and how it affects the general election is simply moronic. Claiming that this "flight" of voters to the Romney column somehow might cost Mr. Obama the general election is even more moronic.
This is a closed primary, and every Hispanic American who voted is a registered Republican, therefore, Mr. Obama could expect very few of these votes.
    Simply irresponsible and uninformed commentary.
Disclosure... I'm a registered Independent (and subsequently denied my right to a vote in this closed primary)(true democracy here kids! sarc off) and am, in no way defending Mr. Obama

President Romney....sounds good to me. You don't hire a book keeper to fix your car. A community Organizer to create good private sector jobs... We need real adult leadership and we are going to get it for a change...a good all American success story! Yes!
