More money, more votes: The billion dollar campaign

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - Let there be no doubt: The campaign finance floodgates are officially open.

Disclosure forms filed this week with the Federal Election Commission confirmed what has long been expected: Individuals and corporations are using new outside expenditure groups to influence political campaigns in a big way.

It is time to pass some campaign Finance Laws. You are so scared of these political animals, which is causing this nonsense. Your voting rights are undermined by the thugs bought the election and entering into the Capital Hill as senators and congressmen is sheer shame-worthy. God only rescue these Americans, and may lead to good Education. God bless. This election is Rich v/s Middle Class America. (Romney v Obama)

Why do you need to spend a billion dollars for a $400,000 a year job?

You have to wonder if the stockholders approve. I certainly do. Would they if they knew how much money is being used to influence campaigns instead of going into their portfolios.

... and is this now what our democracy is all about – he who has the most money from those with an agenda wins? Look what happened in Iowa – Mitt outspent Newt and won. SC – Newt outspent Mitt and won. FL – Mitt outspent Newt (some say 4-1) and won. When do "we the people" stand up and say enough. Ask your congresscritters to support an amendment to reduce the Citizens United influence and let's get back to making the decisions for ourselves, no?

I'd like to see the Romney team attempt to go against the President with just negatove ads because he will certainly lose that fight. His money ain't as long as the Obama 2012 campaign's. Bring it on Willard!!!

What a mess are we going through???? Money, money buying the election??? And what does it mean saying: "We the people"?? Individuals and Corporations are we the people?? Really?? I do believe those grass-roots who are contributing that little money they have, are those who should say: "we the people", as they are mobilised and are together to do something for their own benefits. If this continues of individuals and corporations continue buying election, am afraid to say democracy will soon disappear and America respect will be flashed down to the toilet!
