"I'm reminded that faith and values play an enormous role in motivating us to solve some of our most urgent problems, in keeping us going when we suffer setbacks, and opening our minds and our hearts to the needs of others."
------------------------------------------------Spoken like someone who actually has beliefs and follows the teachings of Christ as far as it goes to looking out for the least fortunate of us.

Interesting now that re-election time is here, Obama is suddenly a very religious person, even while he forces the government's birth control policy on religious organizations. As usual, Obama says one thing and does another. The American people have seen so much of this over the last 3 years that they know you can't trust a word that comes out of Obama's mouth.

You can claim to be a christian but words do not make it so. You are known by your deeds and when the deeds cause others to call you christian you may be. By the way in the bibical times to be called christian was bad. Like it is today!

Every Christian out there knows God is NOT going to allow Willard Romney ANYWHERE near the White House. His teachings, and TRASHY bible beliefs contradict what Christ was all about and that is a TOTAL abomination in the face of God. Say whatever you want about my comment but Willard will NEVER be president and remember I told you so.

This is an annual event that every president goes to. Just because he doesn't spout religion at every turn like others and he attends this does not mean he is now religious. Try again

It is a shame that the right wingnut wharf rats continue with the non stop lies. Fortunately, most Americans are smarter than these low lifes. Citizens are not forced to take birth control, but as usual, don't let facts get in your warped mind.

The article says Obama was speaking at the "60th annual National Prayer Breakfast" not at a campaign, that is if I can still read and understand English. If not I stand to be corrected.

Truth and Nothing But the Truth,,,,back off.. You don't have the right to judge the president's beliefs or faith....nor do I have the same right to question your yours. Only God knows what is or is not in his heart.. Now if you are more powerful than God, which I seriously doubt, than you have no right to question his beliefs. or what is in heart.

And why should we trust the GOP, Truth? Time and time again we have seen them cynically use faith as a means of testing one's loyalty to the nation, among other things. The GOP has forced a minority view of birth control and sex education onto the American public for decades, even purging those members of their own party out for holding a contrary view. Frankly, if those institutions accept federal funds or assistance ofa ny kind, they should make all choices available regardless of faith: they are, after all, in the healthcare business, not screening patients because of their faith and deciding if and how they should treat them. The GOP talks about faith and values, and perverts them both for political purposes with a smile on their face.

And we should trust what the GOP says, Truth? Nothing but lies, cynicism, and reaching to control everything we do in our private lives.

To be candid, taking a look at Governor Romney do his things only proves that he wants to be POTUS at all cost. He seems to be a fair weather kind of guy, come on President Obama sang couple of days ago and now Romney sings.
People, the POTUS should come with his own ideas and live by principles and not live by another man's standards.

I appreciate his words, but I appreciate his actions more. As someone with a preexisting medical condition, I thank him for doing what no one else would do to make sure I won't be discriminated against because I have a chronic disease (btw, I work full time, teach Sunday School and am very devoted to my family so no blind attacks on my character from the Obama haters, please).

Don't believe in birth control, don't use it. Don't believe in abortions, don't get one. To all you men out there complaining - how about all of you do your part in avoiding unwanted pregnancies by keeping those little safety net rainy day umbrellas stocked. See how simple it is?

Now is a perfect time for the Catholic Church to lose it's tax exempt status. Pope whatever his name is has been dictating American policies for far too long.

Yesterday, a private group withdrew funding from a semi-public organization, Planned Parenthood, because the orgainization was under a federal investigation, which was brought on by a Republican represenntative in the House. That's called free enterprise and democracy. Right? Hmm? Market forces at work, right?

A private group, which just happens to be a privatly owned Catholic hospical, receives federal funds with some strings attached. Some of those strings read like this. No discrimination because of age, race, or religous background. You know, generally all of the stuff in that Civil Rights Act. One string says religous background. If abortion is tolerated under someone's religous beliefs, which includes *no beliefs at all," then that Catholic hospital has no right to impose their beliefs upon someone else who doesn't wish it.

If said Catholic hospital wishes to engage in activities that could be construed as religous indoctrination, then federal funds constitutionally prohibited from being used for that purpose. Any quesitons?

President Obama is religious and a family man. He loves his wife and daughters. He cares about all americans. If you look at his policies, he has worked for all americans, rich, middle class and poor. Open your eyes and realize he is a caring and loving person. How many of you really know what is in the Affordable Health Care Law.....look it up and you will be surprised that it helps all of us. Stop listening to untruths and do your own research.

Conservatives must not close their eyes when they pray to their God of money, for fear that the right wingnut next to them will pick their pocket. Most Christians, like Obama, close their eyes in prayer.
