Congressional Republicans on Jobs Numbers: Don’t Hit Send Yet!

Washington (CNN) – The better-than-expected jobs numbers caught congressional Republicans, as well as economists, off guard. They were poised to send out pre-written press releases about the 'disappointing' numbers. But some offices had to take time to adjust those email blasts, two congressional Republican sources told CNN, prompting a noticeable delay.

House Speaker John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor emailed out statements 40 minutes after The Labor Department announced the unemployment rate had dipped to 8.3% and the economy had added 243,000 jobs. They normally send out emails almost immediately.

The only Americans these guys care about are Republicans. They have demonstrated time and again during the past three years that their own reelection and the election of other Republicans to congress is their only concern. As with Senate Republicans they allowed themselves to put party before country by making the defeat of President Obama their only objective. Restoration of the economy is a bad thing as far as they are concerned because it might make Obama look good. Therefore they have done all they could the prevent economic recovery. These guys are bad citizens, bad Americans.

The GOP/Teabaggers already made prepared speechess just to bash Presient Obama and the American people, without even seeing the job numbers first!!

This is not only cynical, but it shows that the GOP is bent on further destroying the United States just to pander to their base and win elections!!!

Boy the look on their faces says it all......they would rather the 243,000 people who got jobs were still unemployed and hoping that the rest of the unemployed don't find jobs, so they can continue to run this President down and his administration hoping that they can win the White House.....they don't care about Americans out of work or they would accept this news with positive remarks instead of trying to take credit for the jobs and trying to make Obama a one term President.....that's all they are working for, they aren't doing their jobs to work for you or me......Obama had a mess to clean up after their last Republican President and his 2 wars that ran this country almost into a Depression......and if they ever get back in the WH, they will get us into more wars in the middle east and do everything they can to keep the poor and middle class oppressed and increase the riches for the rich in this country.....they will try to eleminate S.Secrurity, Medicare, and womens rights.......

It is time for the fat, bloated "job creators" to revert to the tax rate they paid under Pres. Clinton. A tax rate that was assessed on "earned income", not on capital gains. In other words, their income does not come from investments. In other words, contrary to popular political fiction, they are not job creators.

So I guess the years' long stonewalling and obstructing the President on job creation was all for naught.
    Thank you, Mr. President!

Fair is Fair – Still trying to make it (the employment/unemployment numbers) a result of the GOP controlled House?
You admitted that the only thing that they did was create MORE unemployment (in your 'answer' to RUDY, look it up), didn't you?
So how come does this CREATE jobs?

It's just amazes me how all these republicans who wave their flags.. and put it on their homes and chest are the most UNPATRIOTIC bunch I have ever seen. To root for America to fail, the president to fail, to not want to create jobs is unconscionable as elected officials. They should be utterly ashamed!!!!
