(CNN) – The Newt Gingrich campaign held a meeting with approximately 60 donors Friday in Las Vegas, including casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, a source with knowledge of the session told CNN.
Gingrich, who attended the meeting, had a brief discussion with Adelson at the session, the source said.
The long-time friends are legally barred from speaking about the Adelson family's $11 million contributions to the super PAC supporting Gingrich's White House bid.
Why should Gingrich and Adelson fear violating campaign laws, the right wing of the US Supreme Court will protect them?
Of course they met, if anyone thought they would not meet lives in Lala land. Newt was staying at one of Adelson's hotels. I'm sure they met discretely in the hotel as well. I'm sure Adelson can get into any of his hotels without the public knowing it. By the way, Randy is completely correct. The right wing will protect Newt and Adelson from violating campaign laws in anyway that they can. They will come up with some reason why it was alright. The GOP doesn't concern itself with campaign laws, they just laugh at them, just like they laugh at the middle class.
I bet they did. Gingrich signed up for all he would do for this billionaire if he keeps giving him money. Republicans sell their souls to the rich and corporations and thus have NOTHING to offer the People. Not one Republican has done anything for a single job, a single foreclosure stop, a single economic recovery step, The RNC chair just told Candy Crowley Republicans were rooting for economic failure so they could win. That is not a Party you want to win. They are traitors to America and to the People they are supposed to be serving. NO Republicans in 2012. Vote for the real leader and real restorer of America – President Obama and the Democrats. Stand up for America and vote 100% Democrats.
