(CNN) - She may have dropped her bid for the presidential nomination, but Michele Bachmann is still adamantly pushing her conservative credentials.
Asked by Bloomberg TV’s Al Hunt to name the most conservative candidate remaining in the 2012 race, Bachmann responded by plugging herself.

"I was. I was the perfect candidate," Bachmann said. "America had their chance with the perfect candidate. But any of our candidates are going to be acceptable to the American people. More than acceptable, because right now, if you look at the Gallup map that came out this week, President Obama is in big trouble all across the country."
Bachmann’s assertion that she was the prefect candidate ultimately comes too late – the Minnesota congresswoman dropped out of the 2012 GOP race in January after finishing sixth in Iowa, the state where she was born.
She announced last week that she would seek re-election for her seat in Congress.

The perfect republican candidate. Ignoring facts, disbelieving in science, and ready to force her delusions on the entire country.
As long-standing independent voter in Minnesota from where Bachmann resides, all I can say is that she's a nut job. I would have been embarrassed for our state had she made it further in the republican primary race. Of course in politics, the people who often run, shouldn't, and those who should, are too wise not to.
This woman so exemplifies the religious right. Arrogant, self rightious hypocrite, and dumb as a rock.
Voter's fault
Bachmann, Franken, Ventura,... Is there something in the water supply in Minnesota?
How about a link to the Gallup poll she references?
she is a perfect what? maybe clown?
The perfect candidate for the hate mongers.
Michelle who? Wasn't she an actress on some 70's sitcom? She's as irrelevant now as she was the day she joined the race.
Bachman's future: failure to be re-elected, followed by a couple of years of relative silence, and finally an appearance in some men's magazine.

You cannot be serious. If not, what makes you think such a poll even actually exists?
I'm sure the only person telling her that is her husband. The majority of the Repurb's thought she was the least perfect candidate. Matrix09 is correct, she is arrogant, self rightious, hypocrite and dumb as a rock!
Far from it.
Just admit you are a disaster and retire from office. End of story.
Is this idiot the product of the Minnesota educational system?
First they elect a wrestler as governor and now they've produced this babbling beauty pageant contestant.
Please Minnesota, put her some where that she can't humiliate your state....she's proof that evolution is a myth.
As far as I'm concern, that she is a U.S. Representative is an indictment of the people in Minnesota.
If by "perfect" you mean "bugstuff crazy," then sure, you're perfect, Michelle.
crazy eyes, we have missed you and hermie the perv! had a follow-up conversation with jesus? dude has some sense of humor, eh? i knew he was just busting on you, parry and santorum telling each of you (and also telling hucksterbee and sister sarah not to) run. are you back to your job-creating, medicaid-scamming "cure the gay" scam? enjoy your two government pensions and say "hi there" to marcus for me. south east central minnesota. help us out here. she is annoying as h. be ashamed for the reputation of your area/state.
Yea, perfectly rediculous.
"I was the perfect candidate"
She is truly the best they can do?
Hmm....maybe it was that she was too conservative that she isn't a candidate. Besides look where conservatism has gotten us. Being conservative these days has taken on a new meaning....greedy. Withholding money that belongs to the American people(taxes) on things we need like infrastructure, health care, education, etc. isn't being conservative. When you spend money for things you need doesn't make you a liberal. Besides, drop those terms...liberal and conservative and this country will be better off. Bush wasn't conservative when it come to a war our children will pay for the rest of their lives.
She would have been the perfect candidate to give President Obama the greatest landslide victory in the history of democracy. No one can represent begotry as perfectly as she could.
"Not intended to be a factual statement."
I'm not sure about the perfect candidate, but she sure has the perfect body for other activities.
Someone should tell Ichelle bachmann, there is no such thing as a perfect candidate, humans are flawed beings
The problem with what is today called "conservative" is that it just ain't very conservative...
