Bachmann says she was the ‘perfect candidate’

(CNN) - She may have dropped her bid for the presidential nomination, but Michele Bachmann is still adamantly pushing her conservative credentials.

Asked by Bloomberg TV’s Al Hunt to name the most conservative candidate remaining in the 2012 race, Bachmann responded by plugging herself.

"I was. I was the perfect candidate," Bachmann said. "America had their chance with the perfect candidate. But any of our candidates are going to be acceptable to the American people. More than acceptable, because right now, if you look at the Gallup map that came out this week, President Obama is in big trouble all across the country."

Bachmann’s assertion that she was the prefect candidate ultimately comes too late – the Minnesota congresswoman dropped out of the 2012 GOP race in January after finishing sixth in Iowa, the state where she was born.

She announced last week that she would seek re-election for her seat in Congress.

One can only hope that she's also the perfect candidate for her current House seat, just as she was for the Presidency.

What else do you expect her to say. Any candidate that was running or is still in the race has to believe they are the perfect candidate. Would you apply for any job where you didn't think you were the perfect candidate. and the ignorance on this thread regarding conservatism is astounding.

Michelle, you dumb twit, the voters have spoken and your share of the votes suggests otherwise. And, the voters' opinion is the ONLY one that counts! Sit down and shut up!

Wow, not disappointed at all. I knew that this would be perfect fodder for CNN libs to show the type of people who make up the Democrat party. Americans with any resemblence of decency have a moral obligation to vote Republican, just read what Dems say.

She truly lives in a world of her won making. How she could even be considered to be president, that people would actually give her money to that end, is to me incomprehensible. She is an ignoramus of the highest order and has know business in any elected position.

Dear Michele, You ARE the "perfect candidate" for a small group of seriously narrow minded folks who are rooted in the limitations of rigid faith and ignorance. You go girl.

Attention News Media: SNL asked me to thank you for another great Bachmann Story. They would have commented directly, however, as you can imagine, they are laughing too hard and trying to type this weeks skit script. Frankly, all of the creative writing skills of SNL are on the sideline thanks to the current GOP Candidates real-life comments and statements.

She lack education about the most basic things and makes things up then stands by them. She has no business in any elected position.

At least we wxpected some of the insanity that she preached. With Mitt and Newt you never know what is coming out of their heads next. She would make a great running mate for Mitt. Hundreds of new hairdresser jobs would be created.

Perfect? And I thought that Jesus was the only perfect person! Wow, to find a perfect person who is a politician...that's incredible, right? Hey, how about it? Any other perfect people out there? Man, this is big news. I think that I will tell all my friends about the "perfect" candidate who didn't hang in there whith the campaigning.
I really love this stuff....a perfect candidate, a thrice married candidate who left two wives who were seriously ill, and a candidate who hides his money in a Caymen off-shore account. All that in wrapped up in a one-party package. Oh, and let's not forget about the "end the fed" candidate, who wants to get rid of paper money, as well as the federal reserve.
Why doesn't the GOP just run Frankenstein's Monster as their leader? he ain't as pretty as Bachman, but he could draw a crowd.

She was hoping that she would get rich like the Palin woman, but I don't see that happening, at least not right now. Maybe if she comes out with some more stupid things, she will qualify for a comedy gig.
