(CNN) - She may have dropped her bid for the presidential nomination, but Michele Bachmann is still adamantly pushing her conservative credentials.
Asked by Bloomberg TV’s Al Hunt to name the most conservative candidate remaining in the 2012 race, Bachmann responded by plugging herself.

"I was. I was the perfect candidate," Bachmann said. "America had their chance with the perfect candidate. But any of our candidates are going to be acceptable to the American people. More than acceptable, because right now, if you look at the Gallup map that came out this week, President Obama is in big trouble all across the country."
Bachmann’s assertion that she was the prefect candidate ultimately comes too late – the Minnesota congresswoman dropped out of the 2012 GOP race in January after finishing sixth in Iowa, the state where she was born.
She announced last week that she would seek re-election for her seat in Congress.

Perfect in your own little, twisted mind.
Can't help but feel sorry for her. She is so out of touch, it's embarrassing.
gosh, we blew it. We won't get another chance like this until Jesus gives us a chance to vote for Tim Tebow.
Well, we should know by the end of Newt's 2nd term, when we have that moon base...
"I like to call it Moon Unit Zappa. Oh, that's taken? Fine, then we can put a giant "LASER" on it, making it into what I like to call a "Death Star".
These people are like a giant bucket of Extra Crispy Crazy with an extra side of Lunatic Sauce.
to Dhall – Just remember, one weakness of your plan: "Fire bad, Fire BAAAD!"
The actual Bachmann answer to the question, "Who is the most conservative candidate still in the race?"
"Me or George Washington."
I think that Ms Republican "Mary Poppins" should go back to la-la land and stay there! Wow what an arrogant thing to say!
Does anyone agree with this woman about her being the prefect candidate? I've read 100s of these posts and have not found one person that had anything nice to say. I would feel sorry for her if it were not for the fact that she has done so much harm to the Republican brand.
Still want to know who pays for the health insurance premiums for her 23 foster children. Which state agency was that again? Here's a thought, stay home and be a Mom to all those kids you wanted.
As someone in her district in Minnesota, we were happy to have her on the campaign trail. It kept her busy and we always knew where she was (thanks CNN). Now she's coming back home. Sigh.
Her electability in MN was largly due to "outside" money and extreme gerimandered district boundries. But I guess that even the delusionals need representation – I just wish it wasn't in Minnesota.
Yes of course you were the perfect candidate... and Trump still maintains that he would have won after he decided to quit. There is a term for this kind of delusional thinking, it's called denial... both of you have it and have it bad!!
Her perfection is the obvious reason for her complete and total failure. You know, she who exalts herself shall be humbled and so on.
Any mirror in your house??
I guess, Truth, its an example of the democratic republic you claim to love, when CNN exercises their option to decide what they want to keep on the ticker. I just wish FOX exercised a little more discretion and , for example, kept off the endless cycle of stories about Anthony Weiner when he humilated himself in public, but I'm sure you enjoyed every second of that and regarded that to be in our national interest. Maybe CNN finds it amusing that a political footnote like Michelle Bachmann blaming the American public for not supporting her self-described perfect candidacy, but, apparently you want to run their editorial department and determine what's appropriate for the viewing public. Glad you're here to make us all feel safe and to check the tmeprature of the moral bathwater. Typical Rightie.

Yeah, sure, she's the perfect example of a term "idiot".
My....the little missy is sure full of herself. Isn't she?
The perfect candidate for the insane asylum. Go beat your head on the walls of your rubber room Michele.
with people like her, no wonder congress can't get anything done.
She's perfectly delusional.
This gal is crazier than Charlie Manson!
lets see how full of herself she will be with my teabag on her chin!!!
Maybe for SNL. I'm so glad I don't have to hear "I won the Iowa straw polll in the fatest time of any candidate..." anymore.
The hubris of this woman knows no bounds. Perhaps it's time for a therapy session with Marcus to deal with her personality disorders?
she makes misogyny effortless and comfortable, like a soft dry-sheet-scented snuggy of craziness...
