Bachmann says she was the ‘perfect candidate’

(CNN) - She may have dropped her bid for the presidential nomination, but Michele Bachmann is still adamantly pushing her conservative credentials.

Asked by Bloomberg TV’s Al Hunt to name the most conservative candidate remaining in the 2012 race, Bachmann responded by plugging herself.

"I was. I was the perfect candidate," Bachmann said. "America had their chance with the perfect candidate. But any of our candidates are going to be acceptable to the American people. More than acceptable, because right now, if you look at the Gallup map that came out this week, President Obama is in big trouble all across the country."

Bachmann’s assertion that she was the prefect candidate ultimately comes too late – the Minnesota congresswoman dropped out of the 2012 GOP race in January after finishing sixth in Iowa, the state where she was born.

She announced last week that she would seek re-election for her seat in Congress.

She and Ron Paul could have been viable if they could have gotten out of the starting gate with upset wins. She stands her ground and that is a rare thing. It's the "you got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything" syndrome and tired old PC that has sent our country into undeniable decline.

Well when a person looks at a recent poll showing Obama 6 points ahead of any other candidate, and then you hear that person say he is in serious trouble!?! I can understand how they think they were the perfect candidate. Follow the yellow brick road Michelle and ask for a brain when you arrive.

The ONLY people Bachman was EVER the perfect candidate for were those who are PERFECT FOOLS just like her. Brainless, lacking any capability for reasoning and having NO solutions for anything except stupid meaningless lost pathetic principles only a FOOL could believe in.

How sad, as an 81 yr old lady she is a disgrace to all women. She was devious, had no knowledge when it comes to true facts. Michelle Bachmann receives government subsidies, yet she claimed to be anti government. What a hypocrite and liar. I have no clue as to what bible some of these read b/c it is not the HOLY BIBLE I read.

Very disturbed lady, I think she needs help.

Will Bachmann's comments land her on Anderson's Ridiculist? That's where she belongs, for sure.

LOL, either her or Sarah Palin would make a perfect candidate, but I'm sure president Obama wouldn't like that (not enough challenge for him).

She has never and will never get the vote from my whole family. We know how conservative she is. How sneaky and underhanded she can be to force her brand of conservative radical religion into public and charter schools in Minnesota. She reminds me of Scott Walker of Wisconsin, lies to the people and then when he is elected he forces, FORCES his Agenda onto the people of that state. She is no different. You all know by now how she gets her facts wrong about history, politics etc.....she DOES have more than one screw loose in that head of hers.

Good Christian, conservative woman: Don't you know pride is one of the seven deadly sins believed to destroy the life of grace within you and thus create the threat of eternal damnation?
