(CNN) - She may have dropped her bid for the presidential nomination, but Michele Bachmann is still adamantly pushing her conservative credentials.
Asked by Bloomberg TV’s Al Hunt to name the most conservative candidate remaining in the 2012 race, Bachmann responded by plugging herself.

"I was. I was the perfect candidate," Bachmann said. "America had their chance with the perfect candidate. But any of our candidates are going to be acceptable to the American people. More than acceptable, because right now, if you look at the Gallup map that came out this week, President Obama is in big trouble all across the country."
Bachmann’s assertion that she was the prefect candidate ultimately comes too late – the Minnesota congresswoman dropped out of the 2012 GOP race in January after finishing sixth in Iowa, the state where she was born.
She announced last week that she would seek re-election for her seat in Congress.

I think Michelle ran an honorable campaign with dignity. She stood for her conscience and convictions and advocated principles that obviously repulses the politically correct who have bought into today's culture of decline, debt and moral bankruptcy–a culture that is far different than the one envisioned by America's founders.
Can't wait for Jon Stewart tonight. I'm sure he will be perfectly able to create some jokes about this.
From her point of view, and of course that of her ditto-head followers, she's right: in their world, she is the perfect candidate. What she does not go on to say, perhaps because she is not capable of grasping this, is that in the real world such a candidate is totally unelectable. She and Newt are two of the purest examples in public life of delusional narcissism.
This lady's capacity for self deception is astonding.
She's the perfect GOP candidate...for guaranteeing Obama a second term.
"Hahahaha!!! LMAO!!! Another rethuglican who is a "legend in their own mind"!!!!"
You mean like our current President?
you are sure to find someone who will lose to the President. See ya in 2016 . . .
Will she be changing her name to Mary Poppins?
Michele, Michele, Michele – you said that the "the shot heard 'round the world" OCCURED IN RHODE ISLAND; you said that YOU WOULD SELL GASOLINE AT $2.00/gal.; you said THAT YOU WOULD CREATE BILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF JOBS; you said THAT YOU AND YOUR HUSBBAND COULD CHANGE GAY FOLKS INTO STRAIGHT, WATER INTO WINE, LEAD INTO GOLD, and WATER INTO ICE AT 1000 PACES.
.
NOW, that WOULD BE SOME PRESIDENT – WHERE DO WE VOTE for THAT ?
Perfect inher own mind or should I say in her own ego?
So sad that she misrepresents Minnisota , maybe before long that error can be corrected.
Blind ambition combined with ignorance of facts; yep, the perfect tea party candidate.
This woman is delusional
I've never seen such a delusional person.
Perfection consists not in doing extraordinary things, but in doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.
Dear Ms Bachmann, the only thing you've managed to do extraodinarily well is toast your credibility, again and again. You are now perfectly burnt toast in the trash bin of history. Say hi to Ms Palin.
Replace "Perfect Candidate" with Village Idiot and I whole-heartedly agree.
Only in her "Alice in Wonderland" state of mind!
What a disgusting creature this woman is! I hope her constituents deport her into oblivion come November!
Factually challenged is as factually challenged does.
Did God tell her that she was the perfect candidate? Just like he told her to run for office and she LOST. Go back home and play "pray away the gay" with your gay husband and leave the rest of us alone!
"The perfect candidate".....for a straight jacket maybe.Do the woman a favour, send her home after the next election.
There are many, many, many adjectives that could be used to describe her. 'perfect' would not be one of them.
YAY! She's back!!! Please please please go find your friend Palin and go on a coast to coast tour. Its lonely reading all these stories without hearing from the two of you from time to time. You both make me smile with what comes out of your mouths....please don't go away again!
This lady is a walking, talking, real life SNL skit
A textbook case of delusion coupled with arrogance.
