Washington (CNN) – Rick Santorum will target President Barack Obama rather his rivals for the Republican presidential nomination during his speech Friday at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
A senior adviser to the former senator from Pennsylvania also told CNN that Santorum will most likely criticize the current White House for what they consider the administration's assault on the liberty of Americans.

Is that setting supposed to make him look Christ-like?
He's a hypocrit that hates women. Wants to take away women's rghts. Wants them barefoot, pregnant, submissive, and ignorant.
These right wingers should have been concentrating on the downward spiral since 2006 when President Obama was not involved with the processes. But NO!NO! they waited until we were close to the cliff. Then comes the first black president trying to do something good and he is being disrespected and blamed for everything that goes wrong in America and beyond America. Wake up folkes and see the truth the real truth.
Let's play close attention to actual solutions he presents. Cheerleading is easy. Problem solving is not. Economic issues are Santorum's major weak spot. He has no ideas to present besides trickle down tax cuts for the wealthy. He has yet to offer anything that helps the middle class. Pay close attention to what doesn't say.
Rick, put your tie back on. You're starting to look like Willard. The sweater thing worked, you should stick with it.
Santorum and the GOP cannot run on jobs, the economy, the debt, ($12 trillion is republican caused) foreign policy, the war on terror, social security, or women's rights. That leaves Ricky talking about birth control.
Mr Sanitorium needs to realize that the Bush White House assaulted most of liberty that we Americans had. They gave liberty only to the wealthy and richest of the Americans. Obama is trying to get back what Bush destroyed.....
Santorum can get away now with bashing the president all he wants because Obama is not there to rebutt or defend himself on it. I would love to see them go one on one though, but sadly I doubt if that will happen because Santorum will not be the GOP nominee.
That's rich coming from this clown.
...and this strategy worked out well for Mitt Romney, didn't it? When will these GOP candidates understand that first must compete with each other? Well, no matter. None will unseat President Obama.
Mr. Sanctimonious thinks he's going to become Preacher-in-Chief?
Good luck with that, Rick.
He needs to make sure that there are hits to his rivals as well. Otherwise he will just get nailed by them later.
Ayatollah Santorum is a theocrat. Not the type of guy you want at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
I wish someome could explain exactly how anyone is supposed to fix all that is wrong in only 3 yrs. when it took 8 yrs. to screw it up. I've never figured that out!!!
OBAMA/BIDEN 2012/ WARREN-VERY SOON
It's about time someone woke up to the fact of who they need to be attacking. The cancer Obama who is destroying America.
How can anybody ever trust obama again ... the 73 million Catholics certainly won't be able to trust him ... nor the Jews, after obama has thrown Israel under the bus several times. ... and, now his solution to his own screw ups, is to provide waivers and exemptions to some, and not to others ... resulting in inequality for all. This poor excuse for a President, who divides, polarizes, and pits one group of Americans against the other, has got to go ... and, as soon as possible, if this country is to survive !!!
Do a little research, folks. 28 states already have on their books this provision that health insurance companies must cover birth control prescriptions and devices, including many Red states like Georgia (not exactly a hotbed of liberalism).
Where was all the uproar from the GOPers about all these states waging war on religious freedom?
Exactly. They couldn't care less, and are only making noise now because they're desperate to find a way to turn people against President Obama, whose policies have brought unemployment down, given tax cuts to 95% of American, and are moving our country forward. Bin Laden is dead; GM is alive. Troops are out of Iraq and we're winding down in Afghanistan.
You can't argue with success – so the GOP fabricates all these "culture war" issues to stir up their base. PATHETIC!
So glad Santorum was to keep those "emotional women" out of combat... Obviously this man has never spent a single minute of his life on a real battlefield with men.
Santorum was full of criticism of President Obama, full of catch phrases and coded language, but devoid of actual ideas and solutions that most people could understand.
