National Review calls for Gingrich to leave race

Washington (CNN) - The influential conservative magazine National Review called Monday for Newt Gingrich to leave the Republican primary contest.

Obama re-elect launches new online initiative

(CNN) - President Barack Obama's re-election campaign is launching what it calls a "Truth Team" to promote the president's achievements by responding to attacks on his record by Republicans and holding the eventual GOP presidential nominee accountable.

The "Truth Team" will consist of three websites, KeepingHisWord.com, Keeping GOPHonest.com and AttackWatch.com, which will live at the re-election team's main website, BarackObama.com.

The launch seems similar to the "Fight the Smears" initiative started by then-Sen. Obama's 2008 presidential campaign.

Jim Jordan of Ohio, Tea Party Patriot Co-Founder Jenny Beth Martin, former White House counselor Ed Gillespie, President of the Family Research Council Tony Perkins and conservative commentator Andrew Breitbart.

President Obama will present his 2013 budget plan Monday

Washington (CNN) – When President Barack Obama rolls out his 2013 budget proposal Monday, it's likely to unleash another round of political finger-pointing on Capitol Hill.

WASHINGTON/POLITICAL:

CNN: Surging, stagnating, staying relevant in GOP race
It's "lull week" in the Republican presidential campaign, an 11-day stretch with no primaries or caucuses and no debates, but lots of questions about who will eventually win the nomination to face President Barack Obama in November.

CNN: Romney victories mask lingering questions about his candidacy
Mitt Romney's twin victories Saturday in Maine and in a conservative straw poll were badly needed bright spots for his campaign at the end of what was perhaps the most humbling week of his presidential candidacy, a five-day stretch that exposed the former Massachusetts governor's frail relationship with conservatives.
