Washington (CNN) – U.S. Capitol Police and the FBI on Friday arrested a Moroccan man who was planning a suicide attack on the Capitol, police and a federal law-enforcement official said.
The man had what he thought was a vest with explosives, but the materials in the vest had been rendered inoperable by law enforcement, Justice Department spokesman Dean Boyd said.

I feel safer with Pres. Obama at the helm, than I would with any of the Republicans at the helm. I mean like, where on earth was Dick Cheney during all of those years at the height of two wars. He was nowhere, man. No whereabouts, whatsoever. I bet the Republicans still know where that hiding place is and Republican president would be the first one there. The bad part is that they never told George about it.
No matter who is in the Whitehouse, we can only trust that people are doing their jobs. Thanks to everyone involved in protecting all of us from a person like that.

This is how this event is going to be spun by Mitt, Rick, Newt, Mitch and Boehner. First they are going to congratulate the brave men and women who tirelessly brought this person to justice at great risk to their lives. Then they are going to blast the Obama administration and Obama himself for allowing this guy to possess a vest that he THOUGHT contained explosives but really DIDN'T contain explosives so that it could fool him. Then they are going to blame Obama and the Obama administration for needlessly putting innocent Americans (read right wing, conservative republicans) at risk in an attempt to catch a terrorist and how they would have done things differently if they were in the White House (Mitt, Rick and Newt) or a republican was in the White House (Boehner or Mitch). Finally, they all will conclude by once again congratulating those brave men and women who put themselves in harms way on the front lines of the war on terror every day. Then they will go to a fundraiser.
this president has done a good job with security and I commend the men and women who work every day to keep us safe.
Time to wake up and smell the coffee. Muslims are at war with us. Time to do anything it takes to remove these creeps from our country. Yes I am being mean but better to be mean than have people killed a suicide bomber.
This time we got lucky but the next time maybe not.
