Gingrich says home state win will be crucial

Washington (CNN) - Newt Gingrich conceded Sunday that losing his home state of Georgia in the upcoming Super Tuesday primaries in March would "badly" weaken his candidacy.

Appearing on "Fox News Sunday," Gingrich added that if either of his chief rivals for the Republican presidential nomination lose their home states - Mitt Romney in Michigan and Rick Santorum in Pennsylvania - they also would be "badly, badly weakened."

Nothing is crucial for the old, "catholic" adulterer anymore. He is totally finished.

I think what Gingrich is basically saying is that if he loses Georgia on March 6, he'll terminate his candidacy. Personally, I think he should have done it already. It's down to Mitt 'Flip-flopper' Romney or Rick 'Zealot' Santorum.

If the voters of Georgia are smart, they will send you packing. But I won't hold my breath waiting for you to terminate your candidacy. You are an egomanical fool who won't quit no matter what. Please, please keep running. It is funny trying to watch you spin each loss into something positive.

"Give the chaos of this race, I'm not willing to say anything," Gingrich

I think first time Newt told the truth,

Actually Republican Party is in chaos. 2010 they started the good fight “ Cut spending” 2011 they lost their agenda now they don’t know what is their agenda

well as long as he can carry one state and it's the one he claims as his home then he still has a chance. we all know that taking s. carolina and georgia and losing the other 48 states means he should be the nominee

The other 48 states are on planet earth Newt and not in outer space. Now we all understand why Newt wants a "space colony" because he'll be able to claim it's bigger than the other 48 states and he'll be the king. Sorry Newt, Americans won't help you keep your promise to now wife that you'll be president because your promise to the formers didn't mean anything to you.

Could this be a subtle jab at Rmoney, who is about to lose his "home state" of MI?

these MEN are so out of touch with reality. The GOP is the party that won't pay for healthcare services for people with disabilities trying to make it in the community, they won't pay for the elderly, the won't pay for the mentally retarded, and the list goes on. They should be the ones trying to prevent pregnancies that might have complicated outcomes. You can't just care about the life BEFORE it is born, and not care about it after it is born.
