Santorum super PAC buys more ad time in Michigan

(CNN) - The super PAC supporting presidential contender Rick Santorum confirmed Tuesday it made an additional $600,000 television ad buy in Michigan, which holds its Republican primary next week.

The 30-second spot, paid for by the Red, White and Blue Fund, attempts to parallel Republican presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney with President Barack Obama.

Bachmann's home no longer in her Congressional district

(CNN) - A Minnesota judicial panel revealed redrawn congressional districts Tuesday that placed Rep. Michele Bachmann's home outside the district she represents.

Bachmann announced this month she was running for re-election in the sixth district, which includes parts of the Minneapolis-St. Paul suburbs. She said Tuesday she would still run in the sixth district, despite a new map drawn by the state's Supreme Court Special Redistricting panel that put her town, Stillwater, in the fourth district.

Romney struggles to seal the deal with the most conservative voters

Mesa, Arizona (CNN) - As he has in other states, Mitt Romney seems to be having a problem getting the support of a majority of the most conservative voters in Arizona as evidenced in the new CNN/Time/ORC poll of Arizona Republicans.

Of those in the survey who said they were tea party supporters, 35% said they backed Rick Santorum while 32% said they would vote for Romney. Of those who considered themselves born-again Christians, 37% said they would vote for Santorum while 28% said they would choose Romney in next week's primary.

Phoenix (CNN) – Joe Arpaio, the sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, briefed GOP contender Rick Santorum on his investigation into President Barack Obama's birth certificate, the controversial law enforcement official told reporters Tuesday.

After a speech to a Republican gathering in Phoenix where Santorum appeared earlier in the day, Arpaio explained he wanted to inform the candidate of his investigation "as a matter of fairness in case he wouldn't want me to support him."

Romney supporter in Arizona urges course correction

Phoenix (CNN) - Randy Pullen, a former chairman of the Arizona Republican Party and a prominent supporter of Mitt Romney in the state, said Tuesday his candidate must intensify his efforts to win over conservatives at the grassroots level or risk losing the GOP nomination fight.

Pullen told CNN that Arizona is dangerously close to slipping out of Romney's reach, though he still predicted a victory here for the former Massachusetts governor in next Tuesday's primary.
