Santorum super PAC buys more ad time in Michigan

(CNN) - The super PAC supporting presidential contender Rick Santorum confirmed Tuesday it made an additional $600,000 television ad buy in Michigan, which holds its Republican primary next week.

The 30-second spot, paid for by the Red, White and Blue Fund, attempts to parallel Republican presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney with President Barack Obama.

"How can Mitt Romney beat Barack Obama when on the vital decisions they're not much different?" the narrator says in the ad.

The commercial points to Romney's Massachusetts health care reform, which served as a blueprint for Obama's health care plan years later.

Announced Tuesday, the ad buy is the Red, White and Blue Fund’s second purchase in Michigan. Last week it announced a purchase of $663,500 in the state, which the group characterized as an answer to the massive amounts of money Romney’s campaign and his supportive super PAC had spent in the Wolverine State.

The ad running last week was a positive spot that detailed Santorum’s biography. The group did not release any specifics about a new ad Tuesday.

Romney would be so hurt if Santorum won MI! That would be so funny and let the mud fly. I wonder if Romney would request a recount if that happened.

Rick Santorum has got to be the worst presidential candidate I've ever seen, even including Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney – which is saying a whole lot about these freaks.

$600,000 is only 100,000 more then Rick Santorum wife wanted in her law suit.

Back in 1999, his wife Karen sued her chiropractor for $500000.

    Thats some back pain $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Mittens spent over $37 million in January, (mostly negative ads) and took in $13 million in donations. By outspending Santorum 26 to 1 in Michigan, he is still trailing. Mittens spent $16 million in Florida to get 50 delegates. All this merely shows that Mittens is not much of a businessman.
