Santorum keeps fire on Romney in CNN interview

(CNN) – Rick Santorum, who returns to the campaign trail Friday evening for the first time since Wednesday's CNN Arizona GOP Presidential Debate, escalated his rhetoric against Mitt Romney in an interview on CNN's The Situation Room.

Asked which team Romney is playing for, Santorum said, "Well, I would say that's the left. I would say that's the problem with Gov. Romney in this election."

At the CNN debate, Santorum said "politics is a team sport," a line which Romney criticized on the campaign trail Thursday in Arizona and Friday in Michigan.

"Senator Santorum, and I think that last debate we had the other night was kind of revealing," Romney said in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. "He said that well now and then you have to take one for the team. He was explaining why it was he voted for things he didn't believe in."

Santorum offered a list of what he sees as Romney's fouls "on a variety of different issues," including the abortion, the economy, environment, and judicial appointments.

He told CNN Chief Political Analyst Gloria Borger that the attacks are false.

"Governor Romney has gone full bore attacking Rick Santorum and he's doing so falsely," Santorum said. "What you can trust is that he's not going to tell you the truth about his record and he's going to try to distort somebody else's record for him to suggest that he is more conservative than me and more reliable is absolutely ludicrous."

All nuts they are! Santorum says "I believe in good and evil"... If so then he must realize the he himself is evil. A greedy Evil man! A good man would give the shirt off their back to help others regardless of his own financial stability. An evil man kaes and banks a million dollars a year while there are hungry kids living in his same city. So yes Evil man I guess you do believe in evil.

Santorum doesn't know his left from his right. I bettcha he had tattoos on his palms (like Palin's notes) so he can differentiate them. But they're probably on the wrong hands.

Mr.RS.you I was so confident that you would have a good debate. However you missed lots of chances to attack ur opponent.Instead start explaining why u vote for ear marks and etc. That was ur weakness people saw very badly. That is where ur opponent was happy.

Santorum is still by far the most honest and sincere candidate i really think he will do excellent against Obama. We can't judge people by their past mistakes, I mean who hasn't made the wrong choice at one time or another. But i really wish that he sticks to what all people want to hear the issues
and not let himself be dragged away by others comments on his past.

Why can't these men tell us how good they are and what and how they will handle issues, instead of telling us how bad the other guy is. This is no way to win any contest. I don't feel they are being a very good role models for anyone. Real Christians would not do this.

Nothing worse than a guy who refers to himself in the third person. This was a hideous display of Santorum's belligerent, hyper ignorant style. Ughh. Felt like barfing through the entire interview/rant.
