Limbaugh front and center in pro-Santorum mailer

Detroit, Michigan (CNN) - Rush Limbaugh is splashed across the latest Michigan mail piece from “Red, White and Blue Fund,” a super PAC supporting Rick Santorum’s presidential bid.

“Rick Santorum is ‘the last conservative standing’,” the mailer blares, quoting Limbaugh from one of his radio broadcasts earlier this month.

“If you’re looking for a conservative who is the least corrupted, who has the least number of periods of wandering off the reservation, if you’re looking for a conservative who’s never sat down with Nancy Pelosi on the couch for any reason, you get Rick Santorum,” Limbaugh told his listeners on February 8. “And people know this.”

Read the mailer here and here.

Limbaugh has not endorsed a candidate in the GOP presidential race, but the influential talker has been critical of Mitt Romney, questioning Romney’s decision to call himself “severely conservative” and finding fault with the rollout of his tax reform plan last week.

The two-sided mailer, designed to fight back against Romney’s claims that Santorum is less conservative than he seems, also cites Santorum’s endorsements from conservative leaders James Dobson and Gary Bauer.

Glenn Beck, who once called Santorum “the next George Washington,” is also featured on the mailer, which was provided to CNN by a Michigan voter who received it.

Limbaugh's endorsement is the kiss of death...like being on the front of Sports Illustrated.

I would hope that Rush Limbaugh would enter politics. He is honest, trustworthy, loyal, and tells it like it is. Plus he believes in Jesus. We need a president that follows the bible. Not a MORMOM cult leader!!!!!!

Perfect reason not to vote for Santorum. Why would anyone of any intelligence ever vote for a conservative given their desire to destroy the Constitution?

Good job, Rush! Put your prestige on the line for Santorum and you can sink into obscurity with him. Fortunately for Rush, it doesn't really matter who he supports today. He can come out tomorrow for any of them with a straight face and his zombies will all nod their heads and agree.

The best bet for the GOP is for none of them to win the nomination outright. That way they can have a brokered convention and nominate somebody other than the Four Fools.
