(CNN) – It’s a fair question that more and more people are asking: Why is Mitt Romney having such a hard time nailing down the Republican presidential nomination?
He certainly has raised the most money and has the largest and most experienced campaign staff.

But in answer to the actual question, Mitt just has nothing. No substance, no core principles, no likeability, no fire. His only plus is his supposed electability, but that (like all his other advantages), is only relative to all the other idiots the GOP has put up this year.
Didn't it take Barack Obama till mid April, no, JUNE, until he had the Democratic presidential nomination? Yes, yes it did- and he still went on to become president. A Romney presidency is on the way, be sure of it.
At the core of the problem is Mitt Romney's religion; and the fact that the party has taken a dramatic turn to the right. Look at the internals of almost every poll and you'll see evangelicals and tea partiers largely going to the Not-Romney, currently Santorum.

Michigan voters have two choices: Mitt, who said we should let the auto industry go bankrupt or Santorum who is such a religious fanatic and total nut case that he would have absolutely no chance in the general election.
Since when is the primary supposed to be nailed down this early? This question is almost as laughable as the questions thrown at the candidates during the debates this year.

This is an easy question to answer. The religious far-right wingers are passionate and driving this election process on social issues. Consequently, the super religious, conservative, Republicans are destroying their party.
All of these polls say that the economy and ability to be elected are the most important thing, but if so, then why is Santorum doing so well in these polls? It is the social/religious topics of which he is so outspoken. I have not heard anyone outside of the Santorum campaign say that he could ever be elected President. Everyone is so anti-Romney that the election will easily be won by Obama.

People say they care about the economy, but won't vote for the guy best to fix it. At this point I'm glad my job is pretty safe. My neighbors and brothers all lost jobs and in process if losing their homes, yet they're voting for a guy that diesn't believe in education, against women's rights, and against bailouts except for his homestate's steel industry. He blames rising gas prices for the recession. What a fool.
Simple voters are not satisfied;
In 2008 democrats said “we have two smart good candidates” they were fighting for the best
In 2012 Good smart GOP candidates left the race early they didn’t have money now GOP have four worst candidates so enthusiasm is very low
