Borger: New case of class warfare - between Santorum and Romney

Editor's note: Gloria Borger is CNN's chief political analyst, appearing regularly on shows such as "AC360˚," "The Situation Room," "John King USA" and "State of the Union."

Washington (CNN) - For months now, the GOP has been complaining about Barack Obama's class warfare: He's pitting the wealthy against the middle class. He's unfairly asking the rich to pay more taxes. He's dividing the country along economic lines for his own political agenda.

But wait. Has anybody looked at what's going on in the GOP lately? Can it be that class warfare is alive and thriving among Republicans?

CNN LIVE: Tune in tonight at 6 p.m. ET for live coverage of the Arizona and Michigan primaries and follow real-time results on CNNPolitics.com, on the CNN apps and on the CNN mobile web site. Follow CNN Politics on Facebook and on Twitter at #cnnelections.

Look! Willard said he knows a few Nascar team owners. Who say's moronic things like that? He was better of lying and saying he's good friends with Dale Earnhardt or something. He continues to speak in 1% language while Santorum is connecting to blue collar teavangelical voter.

Two classes in the GOP: the indescribable vs. the incomprehensible.

Still nothing like the class warfare and racist warfare the current inept, incompetent, corrupt, union toady president has brought in to politics. Do you think the liaberally biased media will ever start reporting the truth about this Kenyan village idiot the SEIU/ACORN stole the election for.

As Romney said, politicians always accuse others of doing what they are doing themselves. The same is true when Republicans accuse Democrats of class warfare. Class warfare is already here, and the rich are winning.

It is Rich and Middle Class. It is the reason Republicans are in doldrums., Nasty people shipped all the jobs to China. Show me single thing Made in the USA, except You. I bet some of you are also not made in USA. Manufacturing, Agriculture, Education, Energy-Efficiency, and Oil-Independence....needed. Obama is the one to fix. Obama2012.

The GOP love class warfare. Bush did it brilliantly but he also wanted to make war on the intelligent people because they didn't follow him like the sheeple.

Gloria Borger is makes a good point. Another problem is that Republicans do not understand the reality of the situation on the ground. They think that Obama bashing was the winning formula in 2010. This internal division is a natural result of that success. The bashers feel they have the upper hand, and feel 2010 vindicates their social engineering ideology.

It is a convincing argument because you cannot argue with success, except when it has a major flaw. Obama bashing were not the reason for the Republican gains in 2010. "It's the economy, stupid." They ran on jobs. As a result, they won because they promised job creation. Their right wing engineers felt victorious and delivered and agenda of social warfare in 2011, which amazingly continues into 2012 with renewed vigor.

The Republicans are on self-destruct. Let's hope they don't take the all of the US with them.

So you have Santorum trying to appeal to the blue-collar, less educated, Evangelicals; Romney trying to appeal to the capitalists (who are now denounced as evil by others in the party) who have controlled the Republican Party; Gingrich turning off everyone he hasn't offended yet by reminding them HE is the smartest guy in the race; and Paul who is waiting for the Mother Ship to bring the rest of his supporters to Earth.

It is also a culture war where they are dictating what other people will do regardless of where they come from.
