Franklin Graham apologizes for questioning Obama's faith commitment

(CNN) - The Rev. Franklin Graham on Tuesday apologized for publicly raising questions about President Barack Obama’s Christian faith, saying “I regret any comments I have ever made which may have cast any doubt on the personal faith of our president, Mr. Obama.”

The statement from Graham came in response to a letter from faith leaders associated with the NAACP that said Graham’s statements “have enormous negative effects for America and are especially harmful to the Christian witness.”

Well, I guess it's good he saw the need to apologize but, has still tarnished my view of him and just how Godly of a man he is.

I did not realize that the calling to Jesus was a genetic trait. The Holy Spirit passed from Billy Boy to his evil son Franklin Graham.

As a Christian I was disappointed about the Franklin three Ring Circus. The focus of a Christian is to be a witness of Christ's love and to bring people to Christ. Franklin did neither by calling out the President. I believe Billy wouldn't have engaged in such rhetoric, but rather, would have prayed regularly with Obama. That's a true Christian.

Franklin Graham is bad. What does his apology really mean? He got his message out big time and that is all that counts to these religious freaks. Yes. That is what allthat counts. This man has no shame.

The truly sad thing is that he meant what he said about Obama but I don't think he meant the apology.

Hope this nation evenually comes to grips with it's ambivalence towards our president and where that ambivalence comes from. Graham's views have not roots in the word of God. It takes courage to stay true to the teachings of the new testament and Mr. Graham does not have that.

if many of these so called christians would truthfully adhere to bibical teachings, they would come to understand that their words and actions are counter to GOD.this whole charade of better christians versus non believers has gotten out of hand.we are all sinners, none perfect save the SON OF GOD.
