'No one's excited about Mitt Romney,' pro-Santorum mailer declares

Detroit (CNN) - "No one's excited about Mitt Romney."

That's the message on a new mailer in Tennessee from "Red, White and Blue Fund," a super PAC supporting Rick Santorum for president.

CNN LIVE: Tune in tonight at 6 p.m. ET for live coverage of the Arizona and Michigan primaries and follow real-time results on CNNPolitics.com, on the CNN apps and on the CNN mobile web site. Follow CNN Politics on Facebook and on Twitter at #cnnelections.

The mail piece echoes Santorum's frequent argument that Republicans must pick a conservative nominee, not a moderate, who represents a bold contrast to President Barack Obama and can inspire the GOP base in November.

Read the mail piece here.

"When Republicans take on Barack Obama … We can't be half-hearted about it," reads the two-sided postcard, which was provided to CNN by a source in Tennessee, one of 10 states voting on Super Tuesday.

The mail contrasts a smiling Santorum next to a grim-faced Romney, and asks: "Why would Republicans nominate a weak conservative who passed Romney care, supports cap-and-trade, and has flip-flopped on so many issues that no one knows where he stands?"

No mistaking Santorum's agenda... just a question as to whether America (and not the evangelical Right wing) can stand it.

    Not!

What rock are you hiding under? Mitt Romney is absolutely the only candidate that can beat Obama.

Santorum just looks like the one who got bullied in school, and if he hadn't been successful in politics he would be shooting at classmates.

So principled he had to vote with the team even though it was against his principles.

    More like an unprincipled hypocrite!

When I see Santorum I just want to "throw up".

    Wobbly Walker,
Well said. I am just tired of Rick Santorum. Recent polls from Rasmussen indicate that Romney is comfortably ahead of Obama at the national level. Everything is being thrown at Romney right now so of course people are scoffing and trying to make him look bad. The fact is, he has more real-world experience to get the job done than most other candidates dating back DECADES. Let's just put this little Santorum surge behind us and he will fade away just like every other goon who has claimed to be the "not-Romney" of the bunch. The fact is, for every not-Romney who keeps running his mouth and making the entire country gag, the party is crumbling and making Mitt's job more and more difficult. But make no mistake, he will complete the (beat Obama).

Romney will not beat Obama, Wobbly Walker you are kidding me right? Only one percenters and those naive GOP's will vote for RMONEY, YES RMONEY.. The man with no core, no soul: the man who loves America so much he puts his money in foreign banks. He surely knows how to create job..., over seas that is.

  10. Get Real

These candidates have embarrassed our country. They have also taken away our opportunity to have a serious election in a serious time. From The very beginning with Michelle and Perry, to the ridiculous Herman and now the last 4 baffoons that are left in the running. What a dissapointment you have all been.
