Paul: I can take young people away from Obama

(CNN) – Touting his large following of young supporters, Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul on Thursday said he's the most likely GOP candidate to make a dent in a key voting bloc for President Barack Obama.

"I'm the one person that can take young people away from Obama," Paul said on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight."

Seattle Times supports Romney as ‘default choice’ ahead of caucuses

(CNN) - Call it a “nonendorsement” endorsement.

The Seattle Times, the largest daily newspaper in the solidly blue state of Washington, on Thursday picked Mitt Romney as the “default choice” for Republican voters in the state’s upcoming contest on Saturday.

Paul flier hits the other candidates

Washington (CNN) – A flier from the Ron Paul campaign mailed to Oklahoma Republicans hits all three of his fellow Republican challengers, saying “Counterfeits won’t cut it.”

Next to each picture of each contender it lists some of his positions that would upset conservatives.

Gingrich robo call labels Santorum 'union bosses' pal'

Macon, Georgia (CNN) – Newt Gingrich is targeting GOP opponent Rick Santorum’s ‘big labor voting record” in a robo call to voters in two Super Tuesday states.

Spokesperson R.C. Hammond said the call was recorded Thursday and will go out by the weekend to 150,000 households in Oklahoma and Tennessee.

Wealthy would cash in under Romney tax plan

New York (CNNMoney) – Mitt Romney's new tax plan would mean lower taxes for most Americans. But some would benefit more than others.

According to a new analysis from the Tax Policy Center, wealthy Americans would see their taxes fall precipitously under Mitt Romney's new plan - which scraps the Alternative Minimum Tax and cuts marginal tax rates by 20%.

Michigan results provoke accusations, ire

(CNN) - Rick Santorum's campaign accused Mitt Romney of "political thuggery" Thursday after the Michigan Republican Party announced it was awarding two at-large delegates to the former Massachusetts governor.

The decision by the state party means that Romney won 16 delegates Tuesday night and Santorum was awarded the remaining 14 of the 30 delegates up for grabs in the primary. Media outlets, including CNN, previously estimated the count as a 15-15 tie between the candidates.

Romney pledges not to embarrass

Idaho Falls, Idaho (CNN) - In a speech to his largest audience in recent memory Thursday, Mitt Romney pledged that he would never embarrass the American people in the White House.

That assurance - which the campaign previously deployed against Newt Gingrich in Iowa - appeared to be a veiled swipe against the Republican presidential slate at large.
