(CNN) – What happened to the fish?
Cain Connections won't say.
Rather than carping on economic policy or his 9-9-9 plan, Herman Cain's latest web video shows a goldfish writhing in the mud.

"This is the economy," a young actress in the video says, dumping a fishbowl - fish, water, and all - onto dirt. The goldfish wiggles about, then rests, and the water seeps into the ground. Another momentary splash of water follows.
"This is the economy on stimulus. Any questions?" she continues, yelling over the empty landscape.
The final shot shows Cain, a former presidential candidate, surveying the muddy scene from afar.
Known for unusual ads that depicted his campaign manager smoking and the candidate grinning into the camera, Cain is now flexing his muscles through Cain Connections, which advocates his platform, including the 9-9-9 tax plan, energy reform and foreign policy changes.
"It's real simple. The video is intended to get people's attention to the fact that, one, the economy is suffocating and, two, that throwing stimulus money at it through government spending only makes it worse," the group's media relations director, Kathy Hoekstra, told CNN.
Cain’s organization said the video is similar to a 1980s anti-drug ad that showed an egg frying and a narrator saying, "this is your brain on drugs."
The organization's website suggests more videos are to come, but no airtime has been purchased for this spot.
Were any fish harmed in the making of the video?
Hoekstra wouldn't say, but said the video is "to be continued."
- CNN's Gregory Wallace contributed to this report.

So another Republican abuses another creature? Dogs on cars. Pet fish dropped into mud? Who can trust them to treat PEOPLE right? Wait a minute. We can't. Republicans don't want gays to have equal rights. They don't want people to have medical insurance. They want more wars. Disgusting.
Sick video.
Wow...two people I never wanted to hear from again. Both of them making a fuss and saying "look at me, look at me, look at me!" now that they have fallen into the shadows.
This is HERMAN CAIN saying IT JUST DIDN'T HAPPEN !!!
.
............................. IT JUST DIDN'T HAPPEN !!!
pretty good...and true...
Something's rotten in Cainland.
It is Cain's morality that is wallowing in the mud and no amount of throwing his looney tune messages at the public is going to change that.
The stimulus worked, it just wasn't big enough. Cain and the GOP lies can only last for so long. Educate yourselves America, the right-wing has been lying to you for years, and you just keep on believing them.
Still got my vote Mr Cain. Herman my man, my main man,the "hermanator" got the nwo scared to death . The man will allow the states to enforce the dadgum law against mehicos invasion of our lives! That would ruin everything for the nwo. Illegals must have murdered at least 250 000 americans in the last 50 years. Cant you hear their blood scream for justice from their graves? Our american brothers and sisters victims of federal ethnic cleansing! Sometimes at night i can hear a car horn stuck on as if in an accident, then another and another and so on when one goes silent the tune is carried on by others till they fill the night with the constant blare, the horrific and sickening symphony of americans getting wiped out by illegal "hispanic" drivers, theyre wiping out entire families daily
Yes, we need to stop all of that Defense Department stimulus spending on war stuff. That's where the big spending is going and I doubt that Mr Cain would take that position. Wars are the Republican stimulus plan and that is why the "Bomb, Bomb Iran" talk has started among the candidates causing oil prices to accelerate which helps their other goal-destroying the American economy.
The idea is completely false. The stimulus did something. I want to see proof of it not doing anything. If I see that is undeniable proof that the stimulus failed, then I'll agree with that.
Considering that the stimulus saved at least 1.5 million jobs and helped prevent the Second Great Depression, Cain's video is misleading and pointless. Just like the man's relevance.
If you have to explain it, it wasn't that good. Besides, wasn't there a PSA built not too long ago with a goldfish for the National Jewish Centers lungline for asthmatics?
This video is actually is very much to the point!
GOP spills the fishbowl (economy) tries to revive it with a splash of water (tax break for the “job creators”) and then stands idle by (when not obstructing) waiting for someone else to fix it (party of “NO”). All this like a childish brat would handle it (Boehner, Norquist, McConnell, Limbaugh etc.). Now with a crew of deceiving, no class, and the bottom of the barrel scraping “candidates” as insult to the thinking voter talking how the President can’t do it (yes he can!) without one (new) suggestion how they would fix things. Bravo!
And mr cain is running for which political office now?
I'm sorry, Cain who?
Fish writhing, dogs on top of cars. Really?
You fish murderers! Charlie the Tuna will hear about this!
"carping on economic policy"
Hee, hee. Too funny.
More proof that many in the GOBP are simple-minded people who are terrible at analogies and metaphors. We see these same fundamental intellectual weaknesses demonstrated on these boards daily.
What does he know about anything, other then trying to bed every woman he meets, who needs a job or help.
He is not worthy of anything.
This is a shame of America.
I thought it was Cain writhing in the mud.
