Palin PAC: 'Game Change' is 'fact change'

(CNN) – Sarah Palin took a hit at the upcoming television film based on her time as the 2008 vice presidential nominee Thursday, releasing a mock trailer portraying her candidacy in a much rosier light than the film's actual preview.

"Game Change," set to air on HBO March 10, stars Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin. A trailer released in January (WATCH) cast Palin as the villain of the 2008 contest, a portrayal advisers to Palin shot down in a conference call with reporters last week.

On Thursday Palin's political action committee SarahPAC released a video (WATCH) mocking the film, editing together complimentary clips from newscasts and interviews to present a positive portrait of Palin's candidacy. Left out is the behind-the-scenes whispering the "Game Change" trailer features heavily.

The mock trailer begins with a play on the film's title. The text "Game Change" transforms to "Fact Change," and a clip of Moore answering the phone with "This is Sarah" intros the words: "No, this is Sarah."

What follows is a two-and-a-half minute montage of television clips and newspaper headlines from 2008 proclaiming Palin an asset to Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign.

Palin is described as a "feisty, strong, tough and straight-talking governor," and someone who has "completely transformed the entire race, probably the entire party."

Former President Bill Clinton, in an interview, is shown calling Palin "Gutsy, spirited, real."

Former McCain advisers, portrayed in the film's trailer as fretful over Palin's intelligence and temperament, are shown in SarahPAC's video praising the former candidate.

Top adviser Steve Schmidt is shown saying "Her focus is extraordinary. She's working 15, 16 hours a day. We're very pleased with the results."

Schmidt, portrayed by Woody Harrelson in the HBO film, has been blamed for many of the anti-Palin stories following McCain's loss.

In the call with reporters last week, several current and former Sarah Palin advisers said Schmidt was responsible for spreading falsehoods about Palin that became the basis for storylines in the book "Game Change" was based upon.

A press release from SarahPAC explains the video as an attempt to set facts straight ahead of the film's release.

"Game Change is just the most recent example in a long history of facts being distorted for profit," the release said.

It adds, "Behind Game Change's slanderous agenda is a trail of money leading straight to the Barack Obama campaign and the Democrat Party."

HBO, like CNN, is owned by Time Warner.

If the book the movie is based on is so inaccurate, and the movie even more so, ans Sarah can prove it, why hasn't Sarah sued both for libel, to stop them?

Palin thinks that even though we saw her behvior first hand the truth will be erased if she says it ain't so. She is stupid to think that she can re-enact the campaign!

Predicatable, typical liberal Democrat timing and posturing. Low Class Jerks to the bitter end...... Let's see........ I guess another anti gun, pro abortion movie with Alex Baldwin is next. In case you kool-aid drinkers forgot, remember the movie about Bush before the LAST presidential election? The Democrat's Golden Rule – "Do unto others, then spin it to look like the Republicans did it".....

Sarah wouldn't know a fact if it was on a billboard right in front of her! She was able to bully the citizens of Alaska into sticking to "her" facts, but on a national level she is being revealed for the "real" Sarah.

Fact change? Sarah would know a fact change. She thinks Paul Revere rode through town firing warning shots, ringing bells (ting a ling!) and banged on pots and pans warning the BRITISH that they would not take away our guns and freedom blah blah blah.

Then she refused to admit that she got her facts wrong on Paul's midnight ride.

I know I felt at the time she was pulled into the race that it seemed like she and her family were being thrown to the wolves in order to divert a media feeding frenzy away from McCain. It might not have been fair for the RNC to subject her to that, but the more she demands that she was up to the challenge the less it seems like she's in touch with the facts.

Why is anyone surprised that in the face of overwhelming evidence against their position Tpublicnas just ignore it and say what they want. Was she a ""feisty, strong, tough and straight-talking governor," and someone who has "completely transformed the entire race, probably the entire party."

She was feisty, straight talking (only if you like sound bites and jibberish). Did she transform the race...maybe but they lost so what does it matter? She did prove intellectually deficient and if the investigations in Alaska are to be believed she was corrupt. This Tpublican fascination with Sarah the simple shows just how sad and desperate they are.

    @Charlotte

People are not "scared" of Sarah "Spudnik" Palin, not in the way you laughably seem to believe – instead, they are appalled by her profound ignorance, dishonesty, nastiness and hyprocrisy. McCain has a lot to answer for, dumping his soulmate on the electorate.

Sarah is just a delusional individual who is trying to change history to present herself more favorably than the public record shows. She is totally incompetent and has enjoyed more than her 15 minutes of fame or should I say infamy. GO AWAY SARAH!

"Behind Game Change's slanderous agenda is a trail of money leading straight to the Barack Obama campaign and the Democrat Party."

Show it. If there is a trail of money, it can be shown... there is no trail of money because this woman does not matter to the DemocratIC Party or the Obama administration; in fact, keeping her in the leadership of the Republican Party would be the smartest thing Democrats could do.

From what I understand, no one in Sarah Palin's inner circle (including Sarah) has actually read the script or seen the movie (they've actually admitted this in interviews). Would that mean that their denials of the movie's truthfulness would fall under the realm of plausible deniability?

My favorite story about Palin, was when she was Governor of Alaska
and her entourage used to call ahead to her office to warn her staff
about what kind of mood she was in.
She would have her own office staff running for cover.

The Queen of Crosshairs and her pawns whine about others "spreading falsehoods". It's difficult to take this media propelled accusation and their staged indignation with any credibility given the history of the Queen of Crosshairs and her pawns propensity to spreading falsehoods about others.

The half term Gov Sarah "Failin" Palin is receding into the sunset, onto the political scrapheap. This will be her last huzzah, complaining about a TV spectacle of her, that isn't one of her boneheaded reality shows. She has doe more harm to the GOP than the Dems or her "lame stream media" could ever do, and will never realize it.
