Palin PAC: 'Game Change' is 'fact change'

(CNN) – Sarah Palin took a hit at the upcoming television film based on her time as the 2008 vice presidential nominee Thursday, releasing a mock trailer portraying her candidacy in a much rosier light than the film's actual preview.

"Game Change," set to air on HBO March 10, stars Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin. A trailer released in January (WATCH) cast Palin as the villain of the 2008 contest, a portrayal advisers to Palin shot down in a conference call with reporters last week.

On Thursday Palin's political action committee SarahPAC released a video (WATCH) mocking the film, editing together complimentary clips from newscasts and interviews to present a positive portrait of Palin's candidacy. Left out is the behind-the-scenes whispering the "Game Change" trailer features heavily.

The mock trailer begins with a play on the film's title. The text "Game Change" transforms to "Fact Change," and a clip of Moore answering the phone with "This is Sarah" intros the words: "No, this is Sarah."

What follows is a two-and-a-half minute montage of television clips and newspaper headlines from 2008 proclaiming Palin an asset to Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign.

Palin is described as a "feisty, strong, tough and straight-talking governor," and someone who has "completely transformed the entire race, probably the entire party."

Former President Bill Clinton, in an interview, is shown calling Palin "Gutsy, spirited, real."

Former McCain advisers, portrayed in the film's trailer as fretful over Palin's intelligence and temperament, are shown in SarahPAC's video praising the former candidate.

Top adviser Steve Schmidt is shown saying "Her focus is extraordinary. She's working 15, 16 hours a day. We're very pleased with the results."

Schmidt, portrayed by Woody Harrelson in the HBO film, has been blamed for many of the anti-Palin stories following McCain's loss.

In the call with reporters last week, several current and former Sarah Palin advisers said Schmidt was responsible for spreading falsehoods about Palin that became the basis for storylines in the book "Game Change" was based upon.

A press release from SarahPAC explains the video as an attempt to set facts straight ahead of the film's release.

"Game Change is just the most recent example in a long history of facts being distorted for profit," the release said.

It adds, "Behind Game Change's slanderous agenda is a trail of money leading straight to the Barack Obama campaign and the Democrat Party."

HBO, like CNN, is owned by Time Warner.

There is NO SUCH THING as the "Democrat" party. I think Mrs. Palin's team means the "Democratic" party. Yet another example of them making odd mistakes about the politics and the history of the United States.

The only reason they put this out is because they are concerned with the way people perceive Sarah Palin.
WOULD SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL HER THAT OUR OPINION OF HER COULD NOT POSSIBLY GET ANY LOWER?!?

Once again she is bashing a program she has not seen yet. She has this amazing ability to see things that are beyond her vision. Sort of like Russia, foriegn policy, books, common sense and the plight of middle income Americans.

SarahPAC says Obama and the democrats are behind this "attack" on Palin? Why? She's completely irrelevant.

Well, Sarah never fooled anyone did she..?
Thats the problem.. She didn't really fool anyone..
She went for it, not ready for it.. Or capable for it.. And she can't blame anyone but herself..
Had she of tricked her way in, and we ended up with her.. She was willing to try to be in office knowing nothing.. Not much of a patriot if you ask me..Doesn't care about her country..Only herself.
Like a brain surgeon who didn't even go to school. Willing to pick up the scalpel and "wing it"..
She should be gone and forgotten.. Don't even understand why anyone even gives her a second thought..
Unless the whole fiasco is kind of scary.. The fear of "what if".. what if she had of gotten elected ?
    Wow.. scary..

Palin is terrible for America. She only plays to peoples anger and frustration. She has no real ideas or values but hey she's pretty. Ron Paul on the other hand has real ideas but is old and ugly so there you have it. People just want someone good looking and confident to represent them. They just don't care to make things work.

No one really cares if McSame and Peanut don't see the movie. It's very much akin to no caring about McSame and Peanut, period.

Surely she did not expect fairness. Was she consulted? I'll bet not. You would think that since they were portraying a living person they would do so and maybe take care with the facts. Hmmmm I give the left wing Hollywood types to much credit I suppose.

Only Sarah. First she is fighting with that ugly Katie Curic, then the RNC over clothing and losing, then she is fighting with her daughter's baby-daddy, then fighting with her daughter, then she is fighting with David Letterman, then she is fighting with Barbara Bush, then she is yapping at Michelle Obama, the she is fighting with the guy who is writing the book on her and now HBO. Oh Sarah...if everyone could just understand you and see how wrong they really are.

Had Sarah been blessed with the personality of a wolverine with a migrane, quite possibly an improvement, everyone in the McCain camp would have sung her praises to the roof during the campaign. So taking clips from when everyone was forced to defend her is a bigger distortion of the truth than any movie could ever be.

Go Sarah, Go. Anywhere. Just go.

Silly Sarah – rewriting history to her own advantage, yet again. When will this woman realize we now know who and what she is and other than offering some great Saturday Night Live skits, she means nothing to us!!

By the way – did she ever file suit against the book author? Didn't think so. You can't sue if it's true!!
