(CNN) – Sarah Palin took a hit at the upcoming television film based on her time as the 2008 vice presidential nominee Thursday, releasing a mock trailer portraying her candidacy in a much rosier light than the film's actual preview.
"Game Change," set to air on HBO March 10, stars Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin. A trailer released in January (WATCH) cast Palin as the villain of the 2008 contest, a portrayal advisers to Palin shot down in a conference call with reporters last week.

On Thursday Palin's political action committee SarahPAC released a video (WATCH) mocking the film, editing together complimentary clips from newscasts and interviews to present a positive portrait of Palin's candidacy. Left out is the behind-the-scenes whispering the "Game Change" trailer features heavily.
The mock trailer begins with a play on the film's title. The text "Game Change" transforms to "Fact Change," and a clip of Moore answering the phone with "This is Sarah" intros the words: "No, this is Sarah."
What follows is a two-and-a-half minute montage of television clips and newspaper headlines from 2008 proclaiming Palin an asset to Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign.
Palin is described as a "feisty, strong, tough and straight-talking governor," and someone who has "completely transformed the entire race, probably the entire party."
Former President Bill Clinton, in an interview, is shown calling Palin "Gutsy, spirited, real."
Former McCain advisers, portrayed in the film's trailer as fretful over Palin's intelligence and temperament, are shown in SarahPAC's video praising the former candidate.
Top adviser Steve Schmidt is shown saying "Her focus is extraordinary. She's working 15, 16 hours a day. We're very pleased with the results."
Schmidt, portrayed by Woody Harrelson in the HBO film, has been blamed for many of the anti-Palin stories following McCain's loss.
In the call with reporters last week, several current and former Sarah Palin advisers said Schmidt was responsible for spreading falsehoods about Palin that became the basis for storylines in the book "Game Change" was based upon.
A press release from SarahPAC explains the video as an attempt to set facts straight ahead of the film's release.
"Game Change is just the most recent example in a long history of facts being distorted for profit," the release said.
It adds, "Behind Game Change's slanderous agenda is a trail of money leading straight to the Barack Obama campaign and the Democrat Party."
HBO, like CNN, is owned by Time Warner.

Good grief, its Palin. I haven't bought into her since she came on the scene. You expect me to believe Sarah PAC. Why the h- does she have a PAC running ads. She isn't running for any elective office and is a wanna be. Wanna be what is the question. I suggest she start with wanna be civil.
If the HBO movie has that same screeching voice of Palin's, I'll skip it.
What the Palin people don’t seem to realize is that no one needs to embellish the story of her VP candidacy. It was there for all to see nearly every day. Her grasp of current events, let alone history, was either non-existent or bizarrely inaccurate. Whatever did or didn’t happen behind-the-scenes, Palin’s obliviousness is abundantly demonstrated in the public record.
Who cares what Paliin fires back? She's the most negative person in politics.
I love how she still affects all these limp-wristed zealots lives'. Hillarious!
Who cares what Paliin fires back? She's the most negative person in politics.
Sarah follows George Costanza's philosophy: "If you believe it, it isn't a lie."
I'm gueassing Palin watched the trailer with the volume turned down again.
@ Little Jimmy Truth
...apparently the Truth is optional.
Sounds like we'll all have to make a point of watching this fine movie on March 10. Let's all mark our calendars now.
I thought we were done with this woman!!
HBO had to poke the heifer, now she won't go away again. Giving her any attention is like feeding a stray dog. She'll keep coming back and messing in your yard.
I read the book and actually enjoyed it. It pointed out the best and worst, the highs and lows, the brilliance and stupidity, in all the candidates and their campaigns. If it paints Sawah Palin in a bad light, it's because that where she shines
How appropriate.
The quitter does change facts.
She is a republican and therefore cannot do otherwise.
I'm thinking she's upset because there's more truth than fiction. hehe
She is such a CONTROL freeeek !!
Most people would ignore and not give a second thought to a movie about them.
Sarah must feel in control and rage back.
problem is this: cats outta the bag, we all know the REAL sarah...and the movie is true.
Great Book and THE TRUTH! I hope the film is half as good as the book. Every last one of you people that voted for that ticket need your voter cards taken away,.
It's called "free speech." Anyone can play, not just the Republican echo chamber.
"fact change"?
She must be kidding!
All i say is "Death Panels"!
I read "Sara Palin fires back at HBO movie" I expect at laest I'm going to read about a TV with a bullet hole in it.
Palin never let facts get in the way when she makes inflammatory propoganda speeches before Tea Party family values audiences.
Sarah Palin will be our next and greatest President of all times. She will win the nomination in a contested convention and she will easily beat Obama in a landslide victory.
So wait, can she really see Russia from land in Alasaka or not????????
There no doubt about the vacant intellect of Sarah Palin. This bimbo couldn't even BS her way out of simple questions. She has to be the dumbest Governor in history and the most ignorant person ever to run for a national office. She completely lacks any semblance of intellectual capacity or curiosity. And she really wasn't a very good basketball player either.
Did I miss a memo somewhere? Are we supposed to care what Sarah thinks, says or does?
