(CNN) – Steve Bridges, an actor best known for impersonating then-President George W. Bush at the 2006 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, died last week at the age of 48, his manager said Sunday.
Bridges' portrayal of Bush was replayed around the world following the 2006 event, which was most notable because the real president was standing right next to Bridges on stage.
According to Bridges' website, the actor also appeared as former President Bill Clinton and current President Barack Obama.
A statement from Bridges' manager said the actor returned from performing in Hong Kong and complained of feeling "super jetlagged."
"A message left for Mr. Bridges on Friday went unanswered," the statement said. "Bridges' maid discovered his body in his Los Angeles home Saturday morning, March 3, 2012. The exact cause of death is unknown at this time."

Following in the same vein as the right wingnuts over the death of Beerfart, this has to be a clear case of the Bush family assassination this poor guy.

Very sad! What a great moment at the WHCD when a sitting presiden invited an impersonator to perform. Great talent, terrible shame.

I enjoyed Steve's portrayal of President Bush. That was awesome! ;p) May he rest in peace.

I remember him from a MP Ball I attended in 2005! He came in as a speaker with fake secret service and everything, it was fantastic. A picture of my husband and I with him at the ball is on my book shelf. A great performer for sure.
