(CNN) – Steve Bridges, an actor best known for impersonating then-President George W. Bush at the 2006 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, died last week at the age of 48, his manager said Sunday.
Bridges' portrayal of Bush was replayed around the world following the 2006 event, which was most notable because the real president was standing right next to Bridges on stage.
According to Bridges' website, the actor also appeared as former President Bill Clinton and current President Barack Obama.
A statement from Bridges' manager said the actor returned from performing in Hong Kong and complained of feeling "super jetlagged."
"A message left for Mr. Bridges on Friday went unanswered," the statement said. "Bridges' maid discovered his body in his Los Angeles home Saturday morning, March 3, 2012. The exact cause of death is unknown at this time."

i hate you G, but i love you
I posted something an hour ago and it's gone. I'm deeply saddened to learn that Steven Bridges has died. This is devastating news. He was a WONDERFUL entertainer!
Sounds like he was bushwhacked.
I love George bush.
HE WAS GREAT!
RIP Steve, at a time when the world needs more laughter, you will be sadly missed. JJ
It is a shame to hear about the passing of someone. It is even sadder when there was someone who has made us laugh. I hope that his family and friends rejoice in the humor he brought us.
Blessed is he who spreads laughter in this world. Thank you, Steve, for making us laugh.
God speed, brother.
Why he died so youg?
IMO I bet he had a pulmonary embolism that traveled from his legs and clogged into his lungs and killed him. So sad to hear the news.
We still have the real George W. Bush to provide us with comedic relief from his stupidity.
That's so sad
Blood clot from his long plane trip.
Impersonate dyes, means personage alive.
Sorry Mr.President, you lost your Twins.
I liked the guy. He was a great actor. Have the Conspiracy Theorists come up with the cause of his death yet?
Obama did it.
GOD got fooled and took the wrong guy!
It's Bush's fault.
I wonder if Mr. Bridges was ever invited to Bohemian Grove.
Almost certainly another victim of Deep Vein Thrombosis caused by too low cabin pressure on the airliner, and no ability to raise one's legs in the ridiculous seats they provide for long distance travel.
I did a search on images of this guy and I do not see resemblance at all. Fair one with former President Clinton though.
Well now that's what I call funny.
The guy had talent to be able to play so many different characters. He did a great impression of Bush.
Rest in peace. Bet this is more recognition than you'll get from the family Bush.
Bush did it!
