
Washington (CNN) - Rick Santorum backtracked Sunday on his criticism of President Barack Obama's call for higher education, saying he agreed with providing options for high school graduates to continue in some form of additional schooling or training.
Santorum recently accused Obama of snobbery for advocating that all students attend college, saying not everyone would benefit from four years at what he called liberal-leaning university campuses.
FULL STORY(CNN) - Voters in Ohio, who face a key Republican primary on Tuesday, are nearly split between Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum, according to a poll released Sunday.
The survey from NBC/Marist showed Santorum with the support of 34% of likely Republican primary voters in the Buckeye State, two points ahead of Romney, who was at 32%. The margin is was well within the poll's sampling error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.

(CNN) – Rep. Ron Paul, who has long espoused a non-interventionist foreign policy, said Sunday that President Barack Obama’s apology for the burning of Qurans in Afghanistan was indicative of a larger problem with America’s foreign policy.
Speaking from Alaska, where the Texas congressman is campaigning for votes ahead of Super Tuesday, Paul said America shouldn’t be engaged in conflicts that require the president to apologize for troops’ missteps.

FULL STORY(CNN) – Newt Gingrich, still looking to grab a second win in the 2012 Republican nominating process, said Sunday he didn't have any plans to drop out of the race, despite calls from his rival's advisers to step aside.
Speaking to CNN Chief Political Correspondent Candy Crowley on "State of the Union," Gingrich pointed to rival Rick Santorum's own refusal to drop out in January, when Gingrich urged the former Pennsylvania senator to get out of the race.

New York (CNNMoney) - The nationwide average for gasoline prices rose for the 26th straight day Sunday, topping the $3.76-a-gallon mark, according to the motorist group AAA.
The average price of regular unleaded gasoline climbed 0.7 cent in the latest 24-hour period. The price of gas is up from $3.47 a month ago and $3.69 a week ago. Last year at this time, gas was $3.49 a gallon.
