Santorum backtracks on college criticism

Washington (CNN) - Rick Santorum backtracked Sunday on his criticism of President Barack Obama's call for higher education, saying he agreed with providing options for high school graduates to continue in some form of additional schooling or training.

Santorum recently accused Obama of snobbery for advocating that all students attend college, saying not everyone would benefit from four years at what he called liberal-leaning university campuses.

Santorum would object to students attending "liberal-leaning universities" where they might learn th Earth is actually older than 6000 years or global climate change really has a man-made component. It seems every religious fundamentalist is always threatened by knowledge, especially the study of the sciences.

Oh lord! Why not Santorum that you prepare your speech first, let people around you (advisers) go through it, if you don't like them to prepare it for you. Or to make the matter easier it is not an offense to use the teleprompter and deliver all your points in a required manner.

Careful Santorum you will be spending time at confession and we're watchibng to see if you take communion. If you are going to drink the "Blood of Christ" and "The Body of Christ" you must be free from bearing false witness. That's the problem with saying one thing, and then backtracking. It's still not the truth even though you are trying to backtrack. God knows what you said and what's in your heart.

Too little too late Ricky baby. You've made similar negative comments concerning college and university education repeatly over the course of the campaign and have not made any effort to "correct" those statements. Sorry dude, you're obviously not fit to be president, even for a glee club.

Santorum has "backtracked" on everything he has uttered in the past month or so!!
Why is it so difficult for some individuals to think before they speak??
Shoot from the lip and then apologize. Sorry way to communicate.
He will be backtracking on his Limbaugh "absurd" comments shortly, stay tuned.

Not very credible when you can't say it the right way in your first instance.

ok so here we go with another right wing politican that shoots off his or her mouth because of the "PASSION" they have on a certain subject only to use that as an excuse of why they said something so stupid. This is not the first time Santorum made this statement about the president insisting that every child go to college (which he honestly did NOT) and calling him a snob. Yet Rick himself has I think 3 college degrees of his own. But the GOP attacking education is nothing new. Checkout the demographics yourself and you will find that the more highly educated areas of our nation tend to vote LESS for Republicans. This might explain why Rick feels the way he does.

  12. The Greedy Old Pigs declared class war on US!

The problem is the GOBP deathcult has no core values beyond proven policies failures like tax cuts for the filthy rich (opposed by three quarters of Americans including half of its own rank and file voters) and deregulation. That being the case, they have nothing to run except whatever lies and phony controversies they can drum up.

Santorum has to stop spouting whatever comes into his head. Even his unprepared speech in Michigan was so long (40 min.) that sometimes he was babbling jibberish and people stopped concentrating to listen what he was saying.
