Blitzer's Blog: Tough contests ahead for Romney

(CNN) - The next few Republican presidential contests probably won't bring very much good news for front-runner Mitt Romney.

Rick Santorum is expected to do well in the Kansas caucuses on Saturday. Santorum and Newt Gingrich probably get a lot of votes in the Alabama and Mississippi primaries next Tuesday.

He has just about alientated the whole Middle and Lower Class Americans, not to mention Women, Gays/Lesbians, the demise of Planned Parenthood and funding to the UN for education on AIDS, taxing all of America unless you are the 1%/. I wonder why then he is having trouble connecting with the American people?

I trust Pres. Obama's idea to wait to until the environmental study is complete on the Keystone Pipeline. It makes sense based on the mistakes we have made in the past that have infinitely damaged our environment. The Republicans seem to want to jump into anything just to see the splash. Can we forget the Apocalyptic BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexica that we may still see the effects of in the future. We have the shortest memories.... Don't leap before you look. Gerri Clyatt

Mittens will do fine with the voters who make more than $200,000. He only has trouble with those who earn $150,000 and less. Oh wait . . .

Romney is proposing a 20% tax reduction for every American taxpayer. High, middle and low income earners. Every one of them. Only Obama pays attention to social classes based on economics. Sorry, but this is 21st century America and not the middle ages. Real leadership pulls people together, not apart. Romney 2012!

He couldn't expect a weaker field of opponents than Newt, Santorum and Paul. Newt is a pasty-faced lobbyist with the morals of an alley-cat. Santorum believes the Earth is less than 6000 years old, contraception is evil, a theocracy is a good idea, and he supports anti-sodomy laws – hence his problems with Google. Paul is a tired old anarchist who wants to dismantle our government. Romney is burying his competition in fat-cat money of negative politics and outright lies – and still he just barely wins. The Republican Clown Car rolls on...

He's not very engaging, is he? Judging by the photo, everyone is more interested in what is going on to the right of them.
