Romney rips Obama campaign 'informercial'

(CNN) - Republican presidential front-runner Mitt Romney looked past his GOP opponents and focused squarely on President Barack Obama Friday, calling the president's new campaign film a misleading "infomercial" that ignores a slew of alleged administration failures.

Obama's team is "calling it a documentary. I don't think so. It's an infomercial," Romney told a crowd in Jackson, Mississippi. "I have some suggestions for the president and for the (film's) producer. ... Talk to the 24 million Americans who are out of work or underemployed in this country."

False indignation won't improve your chances, Mr. Romney. Try having a core first.

Poor, old Romney is so empty, boring and uninteresting, they could not even make an informercial about him.

"...talk to the 24 million Americans who are out of work or underemployed in this country."

Good idea! And while you are at it, remind them that it was GOP/Conservative ideas on how to provide oversight to the financial sector (i.e., repeal Glass-Stegall, turn a blind eye to corrupt and illegal practices, trust the market makers to act in an ethical manner and hope for the best) that put them out of work.

With "loyal Americans" like the GOP, who needs al Qaeda?

No Mittens, it is letting the American public know what really has happened anf what progress has been made. Poor Mittens, he really has nothing to run on.

He is using everything that president Obama's campaign gets out there to make false advertisement because he is so empty of news ideas.
Just want to know how many jobs he created as Governor or how many people he fired from his companies until today comparing with number he have hired?

Next November the educated electorate will rip Romney’s farce of a presidential campaign.

I cannot wait to see the same crying McCain/Palin bigots of yesteryear in the audience when Romney gives his concession speech.

Romney should really give Sarah Magdelene a second chance as VP.

Is this the man who is responsible for the loss of thousands of jobs in the U.S. while sending them off shore so that he could make all that money for his multiple homes and cadillacs? Geez! The hypocricy just never stops, does it?

Most companies won't hire you for a top position if you don't have an MBA yet we hire a president with no MBA and no job experience. At the end of the day it doesn't matter to most people if Obama could or could not do a good job in the White House just as long as a Democrat gets to be President. In today's times Tom Hanks, George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston could all become presidents just as long as it is not a Republican or an Independent. .

Here's what happened. Republicans controlled the House and the Senate. It was the end of Bill Clinton's 2nd term, and the Republicans in Congress wanted to give him a going away carrot for balancing the budget year after year. They voted on and passed a bill [I forget what it was exactly] that Clinton and Democrats had long sought.

But. After it was voted on and passed by Congress, but *before* it was sent to the White House for signing, an extra amendment was added to the bill. The amendment was the repeal of Glass-Steagall. It appears that no one proof-read the measure prior to Clinton signing it into law. Or, if they did, then they either missed it or ignored it. It would appear that Democrats didn't notice the amendments until after Bush was sworn in, and banks began misbehaving badly.

This is great coming from the guy who carpet bombed his opponents with negative ads. This country needs an infomercial from the president so everyone understands just what this president has done for this country. I know the GOP will not like to see and hear it, but given the way this president has been treated by the GOP, they deserve to be beat up one side and down the other – that being the presidency and the congress. Maybe, if that happens, the GOP can get some actual talent to run for office instead of those who poll the furthest wacky right.

Actually it was Obama who did the most of any American putting the Chinese middle class back to work when he spent $50 billion of our federal taxes to bail out General Motors. And that's kind of awkward now because the federal government still has a huge ownership in the company as they ramp up manufacturing and technology development in Shanghai. Is that discussed in the Obama infomercial? I didn't think so...

Romney doesn't have anything positive to run on so he's spent all of his time running down all his opponents instead of convincing voters why he's a better choice. He's not a better choice, at this point he's not even an option. The economy is improving, manufacturing is growing and hiring, the outlook is better. Obama has a proven track record – romney doesn't.

Romney has been caught in lies numerous times already, he's the most cynical presidential candidate in my lifetime.

Romney has the nerve to talk about unemployed veterans? Obama put forth a bill that would have given buisness's tax breaks if they hired veterans. The tea-party controlled congress said no to that. Obama has done & has tried to do more for our veterans then any other president in recent history. Romney needs to shut his mouth he has no clue what he is talking about. Obama 2012

To Jules – tell that to President Obama who keeps pushing for higher education, going back to school, getting your degree and that a higher education leads to a job. You are correct, Obama does not have an MBA and it shows.
