(CNN) – For their decision to remain in the 2012 presidential election, Mitt Romney supporter Donald Trump called the other Republican candidates "disgraceful."
The real estate mogul said it is time for Republicans to unite around the eventual nominee Romney to avoid aiding President Barack Obama's re-election.

"If they're good Republicans they're going to say, 'Look, we've got to beat Obama, lets get together,'" Trump said Monday on Fox News. "Somebody has to get together and end this thing because now it's getting tiresome and people are not liking it. The only one liking it is Obama."
Trump, who flirted with his own presidential bid earlier in the year, pushed back against recent Santorum wins.
"He's not winning … he's not going to win and it's just not going to happen," Trump said, after pointing to his 2006 Pennsylvania Senate loss. "At a certain point you have to get behind a person and you have to start going after Obama, not each other. And what Republicans are doing is disgraceful."
He acknowledged the energizing component of a primary battle but said the process should end now.
"Romney's going to win, and I think it's now time for us to focus on Obama, which we're not doing," Trump said.

i bet if they were considering dropping out, thi9s will make them stay and fight. if trump is for them dropping out, they must be correct to stay and fight.
Trump and his hair need to go crawl back under their rock.
Trump should sit down and shut up. Let the Republicans chose who they want. He should keep his nose out of it. I thought we still had the freedom to chose. Isn't that why we have primaries? There are still a lot of states left to vote on the candidates and they want the opportunity to chose who they want. And after watching Trump last night, I really don't agree with him on anything.
Yes they should get out and make way for Romney. Then the GOP can work on their two pet agenda items (1) continue and intensify their war on women and their private lives (2) Attack Iran.
Trump calling someone else disgraceful, what a joke.
Can Mr. Trump show some respect and call the President ' Mr. President' or Mr. Obama? The last I checked Mr. Trump is addressed by his last name and not Donald on his realiity show and it is just a show for goodness sake. Show some respect.
What's amazing is that anyone even publishes what Trump says...

*snicker* romney's not going to win. Shut up, Donald! You're the disgrace!
Trump joined the Republic party in 2009 and left in 2011, who gives a crap what he thinks, except maybe Romney since he lost so much support when Trump endorsed him.
We get it, Trump, you support Romney. That does not give you the right to decide for the rest of us.
Sit down and shut up, for once in your godforsaken life. We are sick of your ugly mug.
foxnoise: there were 7 and one of them, Huntsman, was definitely not crazy.
Here is the thing. I think the Donald is a disgrace. Does that mean he will go away?
Romney is the only Republican with a chance to lose to Obama. The rest of the Republican field won't even get the chance. They should get out of the way so that Romney can lose with dignity.
On the other hand, going with Romney will give conservatives an excuse when Republicans lose this year. They will spend the next four years becoming even more extremist. Better going with Santorum so that it will kill the Tea Party now, and the Republican Party can get on with the business of returning to moderation and relevance.
And Trump should quit for American TV viewers. We need that time slot for more intelligent programming. Trump, lower your bloodpressure-–Mitt wouldn't let you wash any of his cars and Admiral Ann will have security escort you off the sidewalk if you so much as want to chat with Mitt should he ever buy his way to the Oval Office. The way she was looking at you in your Casino in Vegas should clue you to the real Romneys.
Donald Trump's opinion is clearly in the 1% and that is the only place it holds merit. Personally, I think Trump can't decide what he wants in politics. He gets on this rant about Obama not being born within the US boarder and is proven wrong not once, but twice. He still can't let that go. Come on, do you really think that the United States Intelligent community did not know everything about Obama when he filed for his run for Commander in Chief? Enough already. Every claim that republicans have made about Obama has turned out to be false. Accept it and move on.
Just when we were all wondering where Trump was lately. How smart is Team Romney to let this vulgar clown start babbling when Willard is looking for the Deep South vote--Alabama and Mississippi, (except for the oil fat cats,) are poor states-–people there eat grits mostly because it's an affordable food. GOP 2012 year of the Key Stone Cops
From that endorsement all bets are off on Romney
What is missing is that there are millions of us conservatives who want Rick or Newt and not a liberal in sheep's clothing like Willard. If Willard buys his way to the nomination I'll vote Obama because I would rather have a liberal with experience than one who is a novice. Primaries are to find the man who the majority want not who Donald Duck wants.
I find it so hilarious that people are dismissing Trump's comments, because – and I say this as a Democrat – he's ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. Every minute Republicans spend fighting each other just makes them look more petty and not unified. Meanwhile, Obama is dealing with national and international issues and subtly tearing down each of the Republican candidates. Trump was right about the energy blast it gave the GOP...but now, like an energy drink, the energy is gone and we're just tired. So keep it up, GOPers – you're just going to hand Obama another 4 years.
No intelligent person cares what Donald Trump says. Anyone with a brain knows that all he cares about is that the rich don't have to pay their fair share of taxes. He just likes to hear himself talk and keep his name in the news. Maybe if we ignore him he will go away. Oh never mind he is another Sarah Palin who just won't shut up.
I don't think the Repubs are capable of embarsssment. Geez, they should be crying themselves a river- lol- look at all the clowns left under the tent, including those in congress, govrs, and those wanna bes Palin, Tramp (trump), Limburger, etc. Popcorn anyone? It's a long, boring, uneventful, uninspiring, movie rated Useless
Why is is narcissictic wig nut in political news. No one cares what he says. rememeber the debate he gave and nobody came..LOL! Has he moved on to wife #4 yet??
Trump is right. The USA has got to get the current Socialist-in-CHief out ofd the White House. Obama is a disgrace and so is his flunky Attorney General and his empty suit Homeland Security SEcretary. What fools they are. Good for you Donald...way to go.
